Sound is not all that great as far as loudness but the sound is crisp and not static. I hook it up to my stereo in my RV and the sound is perfect. The best part is the 12 volt hardly draws from the battery. I used it for 8 hours straight to see how my marine battery would last using it. its still had enough battery left to keep going.
