Question:	Can this play video files from an external hard drive? (mkv, mp4, etc
Answer:	I used a 4-bay external HDD drive by ICY DOCK. 2 HHDs are 8TB. 1 HDD is 10TB. All drives were recognized by Shield TV. However, you will NOT be able to write to any external drives that are connected to Shield TV unless you choose to allow Shield TV to adopt the drive (this will erase all media on the drive first). There are some workarounds that require some tweaking to write to the drives without adopting, but YMMV.

Answer:	Yes, the $208 version just adds the $20 plastic stand.

Answer:	the new smaller $199 version has no SD slot. the new $299 pro model (with 500GB hard drive) still has SD Slot and USB ports original model had. Both models come with both updated game controller with headset port and the remote. BOTH models have Android nougat or 7.0, which has Multitasking (at last)! Question:	can you watch one show and record 4 others at the same time
Answer:	That would depend on the main TiVo you connect this to. The mini doesn't have a tuner of its own. It uses one of the tuners from the master TiVo to watch live TV. So if you have a Bolt with 6 tuners, you could do this, provided you aren't also watching live TV on that Bolt and on another mini at the same time. If your main TVo has only 4 tuners, your scenario would not work.
Question:	can I use mini by itself to view live TV
Answer:	The mini needs to connect to a "master" tivo to work. Once that is in place, you can watch live TV from the mini or recorded shows.

Answer:	Yes it does, it comes with a usb dongle that works great the the Roamio

Answer:	I use the sound bar with a Vizio smart TV as a means of receiving ROKU. Before the sound bar i had a ROKU stick. Now i do not need that, the sound bar is the Roku receiver. i don't know anything about Spectrum, however. The Vizio smart apps are still available as well as the full Roku experience.

Answer:	This is perfect for a projector! The only downside is the audio coming out of the sound bar will only come from the soundbars built in roku player. If you have something like a blu-ray or Xbox also connected to the projector you will need an HDMI ARC port on the projector and cable. This will allow the sound coming from the projector to go back to the sound bar. Alternatively you can use an optical cable from projector to sound bar and achieve the same thing. But yes projector to soundbar with a standard hdmi works great!

Answer:	It is working fine with a 256GB Micro SD card for me. I plan to get A 512 and will. Update when I try it. I DON'T HAVE THE pro model so I am limited to the SD card only As no USB slots. I did connect using a Bluetooth external enclosure with a 1TB SSD and it did work but was slower.
Question:	Can it stream my desktop wirelessly from another room
Answer:	It will not stream your desktop. It will however stream a game from your PC. If you are looking to stteam your desktop, this product will not help you.

Answer:	Appears they have a problem with their cameras. I installed a four cam system on my motorhome. It was everything I needed night vision, color, wireless, recording on sd card and the fact I could move the monitor to the bedroom at night for security monitoring. Everything worked great but the next day we headed to Seattle from San Diego, as soon as we got a little rain I lost the operation of two cameras. The light on the cams were on and monitor said they were paired. The trip lasted a month. On the last day one of the cameras started to work again. I contacted Boyo support via web and received a Product Return Approval # over the phone. They paid postage one way only but I received the new camera in about 10 days. The old camera had visible water inside the lens. No further problems. I had to call them to pair the new cam. for instrutions. I found that at times one cam will not display on the monitor. I can get it to work by turning off the cams and rebooting. Hope this helps

Answer:	USB sticks definitely work and I imagine as long as the external drive is powered it should also work.

Answer:	Ok...just thought I would share this though I think its more of a 'work around' than an actual permanent solution to the problem. Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 software version 8.2.0 (latest) Disney+ app version 1.10 (latest) Still no HDR nor Atmos available when trying to play content that should support it. Only HD and 5.1 available. But the fix and/or work around was this. Go to: Settings --> Device Preferences --> Display & Sound --> Resolution It was set at the top option: "4k 59.940Hz (default)". I had set it to the third option: "4k 23.976Hz HDR10 Ready" Once I set this option, I was able to get the Disney+ content in HDR and Dolby Atmos without issue. However the reason I think this might be more of a work around than a fix is because my Sony XBR75X800G 'should' be able to support 4k 59.940Hz. It doesn't have Dolby Vision (though I wish it did. :( ) but does support HDR10. Anyway, hope this little piece of information is helpful to some. If anyone has any additional info as to why this is or anything new that might be a better solution, I would love to hear it. Thanks!
Question:	The pervious version had a 500GB internal hard drive, what is the size in this version
Answer:	The new “ Pro” version has the same 3GB RAM with 16Gb internal storage as the previous Shield TV model but includes dual USB 3.0 ports to add external storage. The previous “Pro” model with 500GB internal HDD appears to be gone now.
Question:	Does netflix now supports dv and atmos? does it support dv when playing local files via plex/kodi etc? also does youtube supports hdr now
Answer:	Netflix on the new SHIELDs (2019) now supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The new SHIELDs also support playback of local Dolby Vision content using Photos & Videos, Kodi, and Plex YouTube on the new SHIELDs supports 4K video, but does not support HDR at this time.

Answer:	Te recomiendo nunca dejarla enchufada. Si lo haces, como yo, cadavez que la usas vas a Ajustes/Información/Reiniciar/Reiniciar y listo. Andará volando. Tambien revisa que la capacidad de almacenamiento no este saturado. Si es así deberás anexarle un hub con un pendrive que se anexará al almacenamiento original. Espero te sirva. Saludos. Answer:	The larger round side is where the heat sink from inside the Chromecast Ultra is attached (If that's what you are asking). So, put your heat sink there. I haven't noticed any signal loss by attaching it there.
