The television receives information to display the picture along with the sound, that is the function of the DVD player. One can play disks from the USA that are NTSC format and someone in the USA can play my disks that use the PAL format on their NTSC TV receiver using a Majority Scholars Compact DVD. My player connects using the RCA plug leads. The one in the USA uses the HDMI lead.

Answer:	This is total B.S. On You Tube, I saw an un-boxing & demonstration of this model DVD player & some kid aimed the remote in the camera's face & it showed the remote control. I could barely make out that it does have a Zoom feature on the remote itself. I don't know where the person who answered that question got or gets his or her facts from, but this player appears to have a Zoom feature. The person who answered that question is severely mislead & doesn't know what they are talking about.

Answer:	Yes, it does. I use the RCA Jacks to correspond with my Diamond One Touch Video Capture software. And I use the HDMI Output to correspond to my 1080P TV. I hope that helps.

Answer:	That is incorrect. I just measured it and it is 12" wide, 8" deep and 1 3/4" tall.

The power supply is likely AC 230V-240V, 50Hz . . . whereas in the US and Canada power is AC 110V - 117V, 60Hz . . . therefore your player will not operate properly without a transformer to get the correct voltage and cycling.

Answer:	My experience is mixed. This player plays all Region 1 (US) DVDs so far, but very few Region A (US) Blu-rays. I've done major software updates twice in the last year, and each time a different mix of disks will play, and not play. For example, all the UK disks play fine, but the Italian and Danish disks do not play at all. Frustrating! I got my old (and marvelous) Sony Blu-ray from 2008 out of the closet, and keep it on tap, to play the Region A Blu rays this machine will not play.

Answer:	Load your CD like you would DVD. When CD begins to play music TV screen shows 1/ number of tracks. On your remote control use the numeric buttons 1 thru 10+.
