Answer:	Without the remote the only thing you can do with the player is turn it off and on and open and close the tray. To navigate the menu, pause, rewind etc. you will need the remote.

Answer:	YES. HDMI output is both video and sound, and HDMI is in fact digital. My digital receiver has HDMI inputs, so I can play digital sound directly, with all of the surround modes supported. This unit does not appear to have TOSLINK or digital coax outputs, and no analog outputs, but these are old standards that are giving way to pure HDMI. The real question you need to ask is: does your RECEIVER have an HDMI input? If it does, you should be all set. BTW you can check out manuals online to find answers like this.

Answer:	This is commonly an issue when you are outputting surround formats through a stereo speaker setup. Set output to stereo, and you'll hear everything.

Answer:	I thought the Netflix app loaded with the lg ubk90 would allow streaming in dolby atmos as well. It's not LG'S choice but rather netflix. Netflix limits dolby atmos to only a few devices - amazon tv cube now has this capability and it's pretty nice! I bought the lg ubk90 for the.lirpose of watching dolby vision and atmos dvds. I have the roku ultra and fire tv cube for streaming. There are dolby vision options on Netflix that this unit does support!

Question:	how does the Dolby Vision work on this model -- lots of complaints on the Sony
Answer:	My LG UBK90 plugs into my Denon AVR via an HDMI cable (along with 7 other devices also with HDMI cables), and then one HDMI out from the Denon to a 70in 4K TV (that also does Dolby Vision). I have had this player for a little over a year and specifically purchased it for the Dolby Vision capabilities. I get Dolby Vision whether the Denon AVR is on or off. I have not had any issues with it at all and have been 100% satisfied with it. A majority of folks who have had issues found they were using an older HDMI cable, which prevented Dolby Vision from playing properly. Don't think you have to pay premium prices for the cables because you don't. They are available here and at Monoprice (just to name a few) and the cables I am using were less than $8.00 each. Just do your homework on the cables as the older style cables will cause you problems. Hope this helps. (I just saw this was over a year old....duh!)

Answer:	Not sure what kind of TV or surround sound you have. But if it's not blue tooth, you'll have to run separate Coax Cables. Those are the white and Red for sound. Yellow is video. You may need to run a receiver to run multiple auxiliary units. Tv. Dvd, XBox ect.

Answer:	Yes, but the problem I found along with others on here is that this device is not capable of consistently streaming. It will freeze up for no apparent reason, then you have to try and log out and log back in and it will act like a lap top that has malware. Goes real slow, I even experienced a moment where I went back into try and start my movie and it was frozen but you could hear the characters on the movie talking! It sucks don’t waste your money.

Answer:	A 1080p movie has 2 million pixels. A 4k tv has 8 million pixels that make up the picture you see on the screen. As you can see, there are 6 million pixels missing from a blu-ray disc. A player will add in those missing pixels digitally aka upscale. Bottom line, your blu-ray movie will look better than if watched using a blu-ray player. But, it won't look as crisp as a 4k uhd movie.

Answer:	HDMI 2.0 can transmit a 4K signal at 60Hz. An older HDMI cable (Version 1.4) transmits a 4K signal at less than 30Hz. An HDMI 2.0 cable - sometimes called HDMI UHD - is an inexpensive but essential upgrade if you're going to invest in a 4K Blu-Ray player. You wouldn't buy a Mustang and then put cheap tires on it, would you?

Answer:	I have installed close to 100 blu-ray players for my work. Many of them LGs in the past. I got 4 of this model for a job. 1 week later the client calls me back to say they lose signal, lock up and very poor streaming quality. Not a wifi issue. Replaced all 4 with Roku3. Never a problem again. Last time I use LG.

Answer:	Yes, I have played Dvd-R and Dvd-R sometimes some of them won't play. I don't know why. I use Ridata DVDs. Hope this helps

Answer:	Streaming from NETFLIX to my Blu-ray player has recently improved by my increasing the internet speed of my connection to AT&T. The player still too regularly looses its link to my NETFLIX account so that I regularly have to resubmit my password to reestablish contact. My NETFLIX home page accessed through this player, displays what I understand to be multiple profiles or program preference categories (if this is what is meant by the question).

Answer:	You can plug into any TV that has HDMI input. This device makes any TV Smart. So why would you want to plug it into a smart TV unless you have smart programs that this one does not? Answer:	The best option would be to connect this unit to a A/V (home theater) receiver. The receiver then connects to the TV and your speakers.

Answer:	The “bundle“ means that it comes with a HDMI cable. That is the only other item that is bundled with the player, other than a remote. It’s a pretty basic player, doesn’t even have a readout screen on the front. The only way that you know whether it’s on or off is a little light that you can see on the inside through the grill on the front.
