Question: Can I use this product to send a signal from the cable box to the tv, mounted above the fireplace on the opposite wall
Answer: If your cable box has RCA plugs out available and your tv on the wall has RCA plugs in it will work. You still have to have wires running to the TV from the Receiver of the Nyrius but it is a good solution if your wiring for the cable is not near where your TV is mounted. Signal will not be HD.
Question: In my Motor Home I would like to transmit a TV signal from one TV (connected to cable but there is no cable box) to another TV. How would I do that
Answer: The first two answers are correct: you need a video (yellow) and audio (red/black) output to use for transmitting the signal and the 2nd TV needs to have those inputs. If you don't have that, here are a couple of cheap alternatives: for the transmitting (1st) TV, you can add a cheap VCR that has those signals. For the receiving (2nd) TV, you can add a cheap RCA to Coax converter box if that TV doesn't have RCA inputs. Those can be purchased on-line or at Radio Shack.
Question: Does this work well with multiple walls between the transmitters
Answer: I don't know about multiple walls. But mine works across one large room and through a wall and no interference problems. I am thinking that it would if the walls are just regular interior drywall . But again, I don't really know for sure.
Question: For audio use only I received two contradictory answers. What is this about the units having no amp
Answer: There is a transmitter and receiver. You must run receiver signal through something (amp) to display/hear it.
