Question:	So I have been reading the reviews for this system and it looks like there are a lot of problems with the dvr connecting to the router
Answer:	Just installed this system (4 channel, hard drive included) and it's connected by wire to my router. No problems at all. All of our cameras are within 50 feet of the DVR and they all have at least 3 wifi signal bars. That's also though walls and floors. We've had no problems with signal or playback. The video quality is also pretty decent for a $200 inclusive system!

The cameras my system came with have PoE cable coming off them, which is the same as Ethernet cable, the 'Po' I think stands for 'powered' ethernet, meaning the optional 12v plug need not be connected. I purchased the Zosi ZR-08RN system, 8-cameras connected by ethernet cable (PoE). If not sure, look at the pictures at the top of the description page.

Answer:	I have some of my cameras on 50 foot and 75 foot extensions which work fine. However when I put one camera on a 130 foot extension it powered up but couldn't make contact with the receiver. I ran an extension cord out to the camera and plugged the camera directly into the provided power supply with 10 foot cord and it then worked fine. So apparently there is a limit at some point beyond 75 feet where the provided power supply won'y be able to adequately power the camera.

It's a process that requires a long HDMI cable (best to drill a hole in the ceiling of the closet to rout the cable) run to the room where the TV is located - bring it down inside the wall to the TV. I drilled a hole in the wall and fisched the HDMI cable to a HDMI wall plate and plug the TV into that (mine is 30 ft long to the bedroom). Also, while doing that wiring you should run your CAT V to your network router - as this is NOT wireless.
