You should then hear the tune you had selected. Answer:	I have used these for a few months now. They do work and detect motion as stated in the description. I would guess about the length of a drive way that fits two cars. They can be annoying when they go off because they picked up cars going by and by the time you look there is nothing or nobody there. I have also noticed if the batteries are running low, they will go off for no reason. Maybe that it's way of telling you it's time to change the batteries. You have to place them very carefully so that they pick up motion that matters to you.
