Question:	Will this work if internet connection is cut or lost
Answer:	No. It connects to the Ring base station which must be connected to the internet. If you subscribe to the premium monitoring service and your internet service is lost, the base station will attempt to connect to the internet via cell service (AT&T) until your local internet service comes back. If you're like I am where there is no AT&T tower nearby the cell service won't work.
Question:	Will this work with an existing adt system with 2 motion sensors, 3 door sensors, all hard wired? can i get info. very interested. thanks
Answer:	I could get ring to work with my existing door, motion and glass break sensors. However for the powered sensors (motion and glass break) I used the old alarm system to power them and Ring Retrofit to monitor them. Might not work with all sensors, but it worked with mine. It would be nice if the Ring Retrofit had and option to provide power, but at least the workaround was not that hard.
Question:	If I have existing wired motion sensors, will this work
Answer:	The Retrofit Alarm Kit is designed for two-wire zones (contact sensors). Four-wire zones are used for security devices that require a constant source of power (motion detectors). If you want to add any four-wire zones to the Retrofit Alarm Kit, you’ll need an appropriate power source, as this device is not designed to supply power to zones. Please keep in mind that your power source will also require a reliable battery backup. If the power goes out, the zone will no longer be monitored. Without a battery backup, the zone will appear open and will trigger a false alarm every time the power goes out.
