Answer:	No, there is no internal battery. It needs to supply continuous power to it.
Question:	What is the storage capacity of the device? Approximately how many records will it hold before it runs out of space? Can more storage be added
Answer:	The amount of recordings greatly depends on too many variables to answer this question. I have mine set at 2k, recording during all doorbell rings and motion detection in the medium sensitivity setting only at night. The kids like to play with the doorbell, and we get fairly frequent deliveries so it sees quite a bit of traffic. It currently is storing over 100 video clips for the past 10 days.
Question:	What's the power requirement to the doorbell? What voltage is required
Answer:	16v @ 30VA is the standard voltage for doorbells in the US, which is why the Eufy uses it. This translates to 16V @ 1.875 A. It is very inexpensive to buy a power adapter with these specs, an Amazon search shows several basic power adapters for less than $12. You can even search for “doorbell transformer” on Amazon and see dozens of options for $10-$15, including ones that plug into a wall outlet. Note that you can go higher on the amps (Useful for very long wire runs), but the voltage needs to be in the 16V-20V range otherwise you risk damaging the doorbell and creating a potential safety concern.

Answer:	This is the main thing I don't like about Ring Pro, they have not bothered to make it work with live view for Windows 7. This tells me that like many companies they don't care or bother to make their products backward compatible. If you decided to upgrade to Windows 10 despite all negative pushy attempts to force it upon us by Microsoft, you are in the Live View club. If you choose to stick with Windows 7 and wait until Windows 10 OS issues are resolved before upgrading or buying a new system, your out of luck. Thanks, Ring! Question:	Can the quick release battery be taken out by someone who wants to rob the house
Answer:	I have it, and it's fast for detection so I have no worries for the average person (90%) who is going to rob you they WILL be seen and recorded...but a "smart" robber will have a 25 dollar wifi jammer to disrupt your network and your neighbors to get past it..but then you pair it with the ring alarm and as long as the cell signal is not jammed an alert should go off. I had a relo link camera, budget and with an SD card but it ate batteries and sometimes not record every event. This is a great device if you want easy and convince...but the best devices are expensive and wired only with a battery backup.

Answer:	I found out that yes, it most definitely is weather and waterproof, but in not so smart of away. I had my ring video doorbell 2 in its place by the door when hurricane Irma came through last year, and forgot that the doorbell was there until about 4 hours into the worst of the northeastern bands with the steady high winds and hang reason blowing sideways... which were blowing to the east - right at the front of our house. So at the point where I realized the doorbell was still outside, our power and internet were out but the battery was still powering the doorbell and I was worried about the internal electronics, but I took it inside, too out the battery, and put it on the counter and forgot about it for a few days until things started to settle down, and then the power finally came back on. so at that point, it was the Moment of Truth when I went and put the doorbell back in its place and when it reestablished its connection with the internet, every aspect of the doorbell worked just fine. It's been a year now since Hurricane Irma passed through Florida, and all the functions of the doorbell are still working just fine: the battery longevity, the speakers, the microphone, the infrared lights, and the camera lens are all fine. One other important thing to mention: our front door faces west and is right near the corner of the wall to the garage, which faces south. So, it goes without saying that it can handle the worst of Florida's relentless sun and humidity through the summer like a champ!!

Answer:	We are still considering the home kit support, please stay tuned!
Question:	Does it support local expandable storage
Answer:	I think it still does not, and this is really a must have (using the USB port on the Homebase 2). I've had our doorbell installed for 85 days and it's consumed almost 2/3rds of the onboard storage. This is with standard settings and pausing it whenever we're our shooting baskets in the driveway, and on a fairly low traffic street (though the filtering does a great job so we're not recording cars driving by, etc.) I would prefer to have the settings to record more frequently, but I think I'd get 2 months of recordings before it would start to delete the oldest recordings. I suppose this is somewhat OK for a doorbell, but there is no way I'll add any security cameras unless I can add at least 128gb per camera (so 512gb support or better?) HDD support would be ideal. I'm a fan of Eufy products overall, but this is a huge oversight.
Question:	Will this doorbell eventually be HomeKit compatible
Answer:	HomeKit support would be huge. Currently there are 0 video doorbells that are HomeKit compatible. Ring had promised it for years as a sales gimmick. If eufy pays and goes through the HomeKit authorization process, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy all their products. Without a doubt working as a smart systems installer, being HomeKit certified would put you ahead of the competition.
Question:	Will you be offering a version without a homebase for those who don’t need them? i already have a homebase 2 from my eufycam 2c cameras

Answer:	I believe they do. While no ingredients are on any of the packaging, the packaging does say it has a "puppy attractant." However, my hyper-skin - sensitive dog has had no problems with these pads. I highly recommend them.

Answer:	You can use either the included POE power injector or a POE switch. The Ring Video Doorbell Elite supports both the IEEE 802.3af (PoE) or 802.3at (PoE+) standards so ensure that your switch is capable of using either one. Also, if you are using a POE switch, look at the switch's rated POE wattage especially if you are wiring in multiple POE devices. This is to ensure that the wattage totals of the POE devices do not exceed the switch's POE wattage rating.
Question:	How many cameras can you have in one system
Answer:	I have a ring floodlight and I’m so pleased with it, I want to put the doorbell in. I have a NuTone intercom system with chime that is not compatible with the Ring Pro but I found a self help video that told me how to install a 24vac relay and a 24vac transformer to make it work with the intercom chime. I was all set and waiting for the first real deal on the Pro then I find out about the elite. Since it is PoE, I suspect it should operate the NuTone chime without the modification as it doesnt draw the power like the Pro from the chime leads. Unfortunately my NuTone wiring wasn’t Cat5 but I’ll able to run it to my router without too much hassle.

Question:	Wifi, do they use 2.4g or 5g connections or both and do they have zoom
Answer:	I have inquired about the same issues. You can do a pie, and then exclude any of the 3 zones of the pie, but apparently, they took away the most useful functionality of their entire system. The new camera only allows the arc to go 1/2 of the view range making the usefulness limited at best. Support has reached out to try to “help” but in lieu of a software or hardware change, I’m not sure what can be done to rectify the situation short of getting a Gen 2 camera with the better controls.
Question:	To set up does it force you to give permission for location
Answer:	Two things: 1) If you plan on ONLY using it indoors, then go with the NEW cheaper $60 Ring camera. It is intended for indoor use only AND still uses the old motions zones instead of the motion arch. Plus it offers all the same benefits as this camera (except it is indoor use only). 2) I too had a similar question when I purchased the new Ring Indoor camera for $60. My solution was to purchase an Amazon Smart Plug. Then, in the Alexa app I an event to at a specific time to turn the smart plug on and a second event to turn it off. I don't need the camera on when I'm home and I wanted a way to automate the process. Question:	Does the sd card need to be pre-formatted to fat32 before installing
Answer:	If you have a Ring alarm hub, you can connect the lock to the hub via z-wave, then it will be indirectly connected to wifi through the hub. You can lock/unlock, set passcode etc on the Ring app. One cool feature I like is, you can set up in a way so when you unlock the door with a certain passcode, it disarms the alarm system.
Question:	Can you get a 90 degree mounting plate

Question:	How much cloud service will cost per month? How much for 1 year
Answer:	Average about 1 month. I have used Energizer Lithium one time batteries, Tenergy Li-ion rechargeable batteries, and now Morpilit Li-ion rechargeable batteries. The better brands last a smidge longer BUT it all depends on your camera settings, average video quality with low motion detection (so only people are detected, not leaves or birds) the batteries will last over a month. If you forget to change your settings, the battery life can range from 2 days to 3 months. It all depends on the user and battery brand. These CR123A batteries are incredibly expensive so you will want to invest in rechargeable ones. Hope that helped :)
Question:	After being notified that someone has triggered the by motion but didn't ring bell can you speak to the person that is at you door
Answer:	To answer the first question: you can download the video onto your laptop/tablet/mobile device by transferring from either the website or app. The arlo does not support SD cards. If you want your video to be stored directly to the camera, you should be looking at the arlo q plus. If you loose internet connection, you are not able to record. If you loose power to your house, you are unable to record. You could technically keep your network alive if it were connected to a battery powered uninterruptible power supply like APC, but the more devices you have connected to that would decrease your power supply (plus battery power would vary depending on MAH of the UPS). You would need to plugin your modem, router, and the arlo to this battery powered UPS. It is also using the 802.11n which by today's current standard is overly used.
