Answer:	It depends on your strength. If hooked to bag most users are able to just pull with one hand and activate it. On the neck is trickier since it is just hanging on the lanyard. But, it really depends on each individual. You will need to test it out for yourself. Please keep in mind, we had to design a relatively easy activation feature while trying to balance also prevent an easy accidental activation.

Answer:	I just bought 6 for the females in the family and although they are new to all of them they seem very happy with them. However, none have had to open the battery chamber yet?, so I don't know the answer. We really like them so far.
