Answer:	There is no indication that the battery is replaceable. If it were, it would probably cost more than a new flashlight anyway. When/if it gives out, you'd throw the battery away anyhow. Answer:	The adapter is for running from an AC adapter - it does not recharge batteries in the radio. Batteries last quite a while. I use the radio about 30-40 minutes a day, radio 80-90%, the rest bluetooth. With that usage pattern, D cells last for months. Around the holidays I switched to rechargeable AA Sanyo Eneloops with D spacers, they last about 4-6 weeks between recharges, so that's a reasonable option if you'd prefer to recharge.

Question:	Is the radio's reception good
Answer:	It takes 2 18650 rechargeable batteries. You can google sources, but I like battery junction. I have plenty spares, but keeping the light charged is the best bet for me.
Question:	Can the solar recharge the 5000 mah battery or will the solar only charge the lithium battery for radio & light
Answer:	I just sent mine back for a replacement, cost $12 to ship back. But they are sending me a new flashlight. Mine would turn off when adjusting the focus, and on the medium setting it would make a high pitched squeal. Hopefully the new one will work properly. They're customer service was very good though with the warranty. Try contacting them.
Question:	Can I charge laptops (like macbooks) and ipads by this emergency radio

Hand Crank

The comfortable handle can be turned either clockwise or counterclockwise. Spin the handle for 1 minute at the speed of 130 rpm. It can be used for flashlight for 30 minutes or radio for 6 minutes.

Solar Charging

Answer:	Yes you can, however the output power will drop drastically (form 5 to I think about 2W) with no indication on the display - it would still show “H” for High power. With the included battery pack though (which is essentially 5 1.2 NiMH AAA batteries in series) it achieves 5W transmit power. Which means if you buy it because of 5W output you must use battery pack. However battery pack does not last long. It is only 700mAh. Radio consumes 42mA on standby. So about 16 hours standby time if you don’t transmit. Charding time on the other hand is 12 hours. Make your own conclusions.
Question:	what is the best REAL range I can expect
Answer:	There are certainly many different choices available to folks regarding radio choices. Many consumers, however, fall into the trap of believing the misleading advertising that various manufacturer’s use to help sell their products, especially when they are in panic mode due to a natural disaster (like an earthquake) or (currently) various lock-down scenarios due to the latest overseas virus. One frequently used example of this buying trap are the claims of 35 to 50 mile range from 1/2 watt UHF FRS/GMRS handheld radios with non-removable antennas (frequently seen on various Cobra, Midland, Motorola, and Uniden radios sold at various big box stores or on the internet). At UHF frequencies (and with a decent antenna), you’ll normally get around 1 mile of range for every 1 watt of power on transmit, so a 1/2 watt big box store FRS/GMRS radio is likely to get only 1/2 mile of range, nowhere near the 35 to 50 mile claims shown on the box in large type (with the phrase “under optimum conditions” shown in very small type). If the radio goes beyond 2 watts, even if you are only using the lower-power channels, you still need to spend the $70 for the 10 year license. immediate family can use radios with your license (and you on the channel). GMRS will make for a better experience. I would just get it to be safe.

Rotate the rocker clockwise or counterclockwise and keep rotating at a constant speed of 130-150 RPM for 1 minute. It can be used for lighting up for 20 minutes and the radio for 5 to 10 minutes.

Please turn off the USB output device when you are using radio to receive the AM band, or it may have noise interface.

For the first time or the machine is not used for more than 60 days, put the radio under the strong solar light (sun>86000LUX) for 30 minutes, charging the internal battery and regenerating the battery.

Answer:	I found 45 degrees horizontal and 30 degrees vertical at 25 feet.

Answer:	Sure if you want to use it that way... Aim the beam across the entrance of the garage and when someone/something breaks the beam, a signal will be sent to the receiver just like something in the driveway.
Question:	Whether the flashlight is adjustable
Answer:	It is not perfect but I use mine to detect intruders. Let's me know MOST of the time with few false alarms from birds or dogs etc. I cannot say for sure without seeing your place, but I would advise you to give it a try. Get the bird house to disguise the sensor. I would suggest maybe some game trail cameras too. Good luck!
