Question:	Will the shutdown of Reciva in April affect the reception on this radio
Answer:	As mentioned somewhere else this radio uses Skytune. And this receiver is so much better, because even if Skytune shuts down one day you can still save up to 99 internet stations entering the stream URL manually... So you might lose some functionalities but most of the radio will still be operable.

Question:	can you shut off or dim backlight for bedside night time use
Answer:	Yes. Go to the configurations settings scroll down to Dimmer hit ok then you can adjust that setting
Question:	How to replace the battery
Answer:	The internal battery cannot be replaced but it recharges nicely with no difficulty. I have an earlier model of this radio, and the battery in that unit shows no signs of losing its charge. My “new” version is only a few months old but in this one too the charging is good. Charging a depleted battery (depletion clearly indicated by a bar-graph in the main window) takes a few hours, but you can listen to it while it is plugged in – or detach it half-charged.

Question:	Do the radio and alarm setting need to be reset after a power interruption
Answer:	I'm not certain but I think that the correct time came back on after a power failure, so possibly the other settings would be the same. It is a good radio and I like sleep setting, also. Everything is easy to set, actually.
Question:	is there a timer to shut the radio off after an hour or what ever
Answer:	The sleep timer can be set in increments of 15 minutes with 15 being the shortest and 60 being the longest time it will stay on before automatically turning off.
Question:	can the radio be used with batteries so i can take it from room to room without having to plug it in. thnks
Answer:	Yes, it has a 12V DC input socket (for vehicles, boats, etc.). An AC power adaptor (not included) with 1 Ampere and center positive in polarity can also power the radio in house. However, please note that the radio weight is 2.6 kgs, and thus is not particularly designed to be portable. If you are looking for a radio to carry with you wherever you go, I would recommend that you buy a smaller, lighter radio.

Hold the SOS button in the top right corner, it will activate a loud siren and a flashing far beam. Press the SOS button again to turn it off.

The first press on the flashlight button, the far beam lights up. The second press on the flashlight button, the dipped beam lights up. The third press, both far and dipped beam light up. Both light off after the forth press. It provide an extra means of illumination and use the LED strobe mode to signal for help when you’re lost.
