Answer:	I like this little radio so much I bought it again after I misplaced the 1st one. It tunes in very well. Receives our 1000 watt, university station (88.3). My only beef is the bottom is so slim it struggles to stand upright if the music has a lot of bass. Certainly not a deal breaker. Love this little radio.

Answer:	I just sat here and did it personally before answering. Yes, you absolutely can play the radio, or MP3s while charging. When connected to a charge cable, the "charging" icon appears. Press the "mode" button to turn on the radio. If you have a TF/SD card installed with MP3s. it will default to that mode and begin playing. Press the FM/AM button to switch to the band you want, or the SW button to play shortwave bands. The "charging" indicator continues to show it's charging the entire time. And yes, also you can connect the power cable and play the radio with no battery in it, although it says in the manual not to. Not really sure how it cold hurt the radio to do so???

Answer:	You may be able to receive some of the Sirius stations through their portal as far as I am aware. However for subscription content you would need an Sirius decoder. The REVO SuperSystem does not have an internal Sirius decoder. SuperSystem does have connections on the rear panel so it would be easy to connect one if you wished.

Answer:	The directions say to leave the radio on the charger for 3 hours until the charging light turns green. Then remove the radio from the charger. With power tools; I have been told that it is not good for the battery to be on the charger all the time. I'm not an expert, but I follow this path: Once the battery is charged; remove it from the charger.

Answer:	Before the birth of XM, I bought the initial version of this radio to listen to baseball games late at night I live in Utah. I had no problem receiving stations in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver. Each station locked in far better than any radio I had ever owned including a shortwave. My radio is now 14 years old and I still use it--with XM when I work in my backyard garden. Keep in mind, the XM is in the house--sending a weak signal over a FM band. BEST AM/FM RADIO EVER for reception purposes. Has great sound and very easy on batteries still using a set of rechargeable batteries I bought in 2000! 14 years and still humming :)

Answer:	If you need a longer run, RJ11 extender cables are easily and cheaply available. I’ve seen up to 50’ for less than $15..

Answer:	Go to VFO mode and manually put it in and set it as a home channel. Or you can read manual and it’ll show you how to manually program that frequency.

Question:	If you have more then 2 will they all be able to communicate with each other or is a pair locked to each other
Answer:	These devices have the ability to communicate with any Walkie Talkie tuned to the same channel. they have 36 channels and 121 privacy codes. They are not locked to each other. I have used mine with a buddy's set of Motorola Walkie talkies and they work fine together. I believe I have had around 8 different devices on the same channel and everyone was able to communicate with each other.
Question:	Why does it say 30 mile range if it only reaches 3 to 4 blocks in city & open space is a couple miles? Seems like dishonest advertising
Answer:	It's hard to answer this question without adding some basics of radio. These gadgets (FRS Band) operate @ 462+ MHz and indeed is close to "line of sight" (with no obstructions) use, as is everything in this frequency range - this is one of those "Mother Nature is a Bi&$%" things. Couple that with their 500 Mw (1/2 watt) output and it's easy to become disappointed with the range offered. Remember, manufacturers love to tout the best case scenario for their products.Bottom line, these are kiddie toys unless paired with a more powerful (and licensed, as I am) GMRS (Ground Mobile Radio Service) base station using a decent antenna. GMRS licenses are $75 for 5 years and allow operating with up to 50 watts on Ch. 15-22 in this band.de kd5zes
Question:	What is the minimum (not maximum) range? Used with headsets, could use by 2 diners in noisy restaurant to make talking easier
Answer:	I'd stay 5' apart while doing so. Loudest cafe I've been in is the King's Road Cafe ... 1/2 mile east of Beverly Hills and 5 block east of Cedars Sinai and the Beverly Mall on Beverly Boulevard in LA. This is a bustling, rustic place that roasts it's own coffee beans and has the best coffee I've ever had in the USA ... the equal to a typical coffee in Switzerland ... $3 for a HUGE pink cup (1/2 coffee and 1/2 steamed milk). And the food is fabulous and reasonable (try well-done salmon atop a veggie salad). The crowd is eclectic ... you may see well-known entertainers at lunch (Renee Zellweger used to hang there). But the noise is DEAFENING! Better to snag a tiny outside table on the sidewalk, just feet from the traffic. And parking is on the street and sparse. Great fun, tho ... just watch out for young gang bangers at night who sneak up and grab rich ladies' bags off their chairs at the outdoor tables ... saw this once. So at night, be sure to eat INSIDE.
Question:	do you need a license to use these
Answer:	In 2017 the FCC updated the rules for FRS to allow the license-free use of radios with no more than 2 watts effective radiated power on channels 1 through 7 and 15 through 22. The 1/2 watt limit remains in effect for channels 8 through 14. The FCC also added FRS channels 8 through 14 to the licensed General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) with power outputs of up to 5 watts on channels 1 through 7 and 50 watts on channels 15 through 22. So, if these radios meet the 2 watt/0.5 watt FRS power limits they should be legal to use as license-free FRS units.

Question:	Are the menus and/or station numbers spoken
Answer:	No. Menus do not speak. After menu button is pressed, station knob allows access to menu items.Doesn't appear accessible for a person who is blind.
Question:	Does this have wake-up to radio or beeper alarm
Answer:	The alarm can be set to "Buzzer" (series of beeps) or to a radio frequency (HD stations will default to HD1 - there does not appear to be a way to set the alarm to HD2 or HD3). There are two alarms. The alarm volume starts low and then increases.
Question:	Why are there only two photos of the radio? I want to see more of the radio. Show the power cord connection and the input/output jacks
Answer:	Look on the Sangean web site for a 360 degree view of this and other radios. The user manual is also available for download.
Question:	What size AM ferrite antenna does this radio have inside? Is it 8" like some of their other models
Answer:	Yes, the built in FERRITE antenna is 8 inches long. with 2 windings wrapped 180 degrees out of phase-to minimise signal distortion of the digital signal. The other gentleman is correct about the FM whip antenna. Extended it is 27 inches long. It does EAT batteries! (Get a good AC adapter-not a cheap wall wart.)
Question:	is this stereo has GPS included
Answer:	No. There is a gps adapter you buy that will plug in. Although it does have a map overlay as well as it lets you use Waze if you plug your phone up to the supplied usb cable. So in a way it kind of does have GPS but really just because of your phone.

Answer:	Yes this unit comes with a Remote. It is Bluetooth capable and comes with a USB cord and wired microphone for the handsfree calling. Get with it people! Jeez no one can answer simple questions on here lol
