Answer:	There may be other ways of doing it but here is how I use mine, including from an iPod:You typically need a stereo receiver/tuner. I got a used one off of eBay. The one I got is a simple 2:1 which means 2 speakers to one tuner. A 5:1 would be 5 speakers into 1 tuner. You would use speaker wire to connect the rock speakers to the back of the tuner. I used heat wrap connectors to connect the speaker wires to the speakers as mine are used out doors and the heat wrap connectors seal out the water. Also just FYI if you want to use the tuner to play like an FM radio station you will need an antena. This also would plug into the back of the receiver/tuner. To use your iPod you will need an RCA to single male adapter. The RCA cord usually has a red and white cable this will then go into a single male side that will go into your iPod. The RCA red and white will then plug into the back of the tuner. It usually doesn't matter where. For instance I have mine plugged into the CD plugs. I then use the I put dial to put it to CD and my iPod then plays through it just fine. There may also be ways to go wireless if you wish. But the above way is how I have booked mine up. I have it this way outside by my pond and again in my garage. Just regular speakers in the garage though. I have enjoyed the rock speakers. The suit my purposes. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Answer:	I do believe that this set of outdoor speakers did come with speaker wire. Not sure on length but sounds right. I upgraded wire to Monster brand and did own installation. Love them because they match, almost exactly, a set I had purchased years ago at Costco.

It is so quiet we cannot hear the dialog in the movie, and it doesn't give any of the satisfying 'booming' bass sounds that you want from a theater experience. The lights are perfect for movie night though. They are low and add ambiance so you aren't completely in the dark, and they don't detract from the screen. We now use them as lights only, and purchased a different brand of speakers that sound much better and have bass, for approximately the same price (only they don't have lights). My recommendation, read some of the 3 star and below reviews, and you'll see that people aren't in low with the sound and loudness. I'm not sure why so many people say the sound is good, unless they are using them on a 10x10 apartment patio and don't want them to be very loud.

How to Pair the Two Speakers?

The critical thing is not to connect your device to the speaker first -- you need to connect the speakers to each other.

1. Turn on a primary Olafus Bluetooth speaker. Press Synchronization button until the "TX" indicator light up. Let's call this one the " General ".

2. Turn on a second Olafus Bluetooth speaker. Press Synchronization button until the "RX" indicator light up too. Let’s call this second one the " Soldier ".

3. The "General" will search and connect itself to the "Soldier". You'll hear a chime when it does.

4. Activate your Bluetooth settings on your device, and search for/connect "OLAFUS-01SK" to only the "General" speaker.

5. Play your favorite song. And the "Soldier" speaker's music, light will syncsynchronize up with the "General" speaker's. They will play true right channel / left channel audio, giving you an amazing wireless stereo sound experience!

Question:	I just got this and i can not get this to connect to my jbl extreme.. i believe it is because the new connect button.. anybody else have this issue
Answer:	Here's the most likely solution (my comments copied from another website about the JBL Connect app). I finally figured out how to make the JBL Connect app work, so that it now plays in stereo mode through my two Flip 3 speakers (left channel comes out of one speaker and right channel comes out of the other speaker) with virtually no dropouts. The key is to connect ONLY ONE speaker when you make the initial Bluetooth pairing under your device's Settings (Apple iPad: Settings/Bluetooth in my case) otherwise Bluetooth continually tries to connect with the other speaker, causing interference and repeated dropouts. It may say that one of the speakers is "not connected" but just ignore that. The important thing is to NOT have both speakers connected under your device's Bluetooth settings. Only one speaker should appear as connected here, so do whatever it takes to disconnect second speaker from Bluetooth, or make it "disappear": turn the speaker's power off and then back on, turn the iPad's Bluetooth switch off and then on again, click on "Forget this device", etc. (and DO NOT RENAME either speaker—it causes problems with the Connect function.) Then, with only one speaker paired via Bluetooth (but both speakers turned on) press the Connect button on each speaker (the button with the bowtie-shaped icon) and wait for both speakers to connect to each other. The bluetooth-connected speaker takes over and sends out the signal to the other speaker via the Connect function. Once you have done this setup procedure you don't have to repeat it. You will only have to turn on your device's bluetooth, turn on both speakers and press both "Connect" buttons (in most cases you won't have to press the speaker's bluetooth button— one speaker should pair automatically to your iPad or other device via bluetooth, once you have done the initial pairing). If you experience any problems, simply turn the power off both speakers, and then back on again and press the Connect button on each speaker again. Doing it a second time always works if the first attempt is unsuccessful, (or if, sometime later after listening for a while, you hear any dropouts) but usually the first attempt works with no problem.
Question:	Can you put it in the pool
Answer:	We use ours for the pool. We leave it on the edge and it has been knocked in a few times and it’s still works great. But we don’t just let it float
Question:	does this have a 3.5 mm jack
Answer:	The JBL Flip 3 and Flip 4 had a 3.5mm jack, the Flip 5 does not. It is 16w total, each speaker can handle about 8 watts. It weighs about 1 pound. The Flip 3 was the best of the Flip series, Loud with lots of Bass, Long Battery life, microphone and 3.5mm inpui jack. Flip 4 were not as loud and did not threw off as much bass as the Flip 3 and had less battery life. The Flip 5 has less power/volume, less bass and the worst battery life and no 3.5mm input jack and no microphone, so you cant answer calls with the Flip 5. JBL has gone down the tubes! If you are looking for good, bass booming sound, get a Harmon Kardon Onyx-1, those were the best! But avoid the Onyx-2 to Onyx-5 they are awful.
