Answer:	If your nano has a standard earbud jack, this unit comes with a SHORT cable to connect the two as I recall. This unit stopped working after just a few months so I don't recommend it.

Answer:	You should be able to find the bluetooth ap on your phone. Turn on the speaker it should become "findable". I am not sure of the password but try 0000 to see if that works. The speaker does not have a microphone so I an not sure of the value of one way hands free.

Answer:	I use this with my iPad2 but it is a simple Bluetooth connection that should work with your Android. The volume and bass are remarkable and the range is more than adequate. You will be pleased.

Answer:	The right speaker can be used on its own. However, you need to plug the left speaker into the right speaker to get sound out of the left one. The right speaker has a port for 'charging/aux in' (mini usb port). The left speaker only has an 'audio in' (typical headphone mono/stereo jack). I have not tried plugging an audio source directly to either speaker, so I am not sure if you can use the left one with an independent audio source. The right speaker needs to be charged or have external power. The left speaker is driven by its audio input. I don't see any on/off switches on the left speaker. I looked after reading the other answers. So, I guess, the answer to your question is... The right speaker can be used independently, but the left speaker requires power/audio input to the 'audio in' jack. The left speaker does not have bluetooth or wireless capability that I can tell.
