We also don't recommend replacing the battery due to safety concerns. When we manufacture the product we submit the batteries through multiple safety tests and we cannot warranty third-party batteries.

Answer:	Yes, it is...I looked at the manual and the water rating is actually 5 ATM (atmospheres), not 5 meters. 5 ATM actually equates to about 50 meters deep, so technically you could swim or shower with this watch just fine.
