Not having the proper length cable is one of the reasons why I rated this model 1 star along with no case, b grade drivers and no Fazor etc . Don't go crazy buying expensive cables because they don't do anything for you . The deeper you go the more you lose (deeper down the rabbit hole) when you sell them with Venus you can get a set for 69.95. It's a common mistake listening to so called experts and YouTube . Unless you are buying magical cables from Harry potters magical cable factory buy smart . Her's my thinking you could have paid more for LCD-2 and had a case and A grade drivers 10' cables but you didn't so why not take that saving and the money you are about to spend on expensive magical cable and buy a quality amp ( jotunheim ) and Venus Audio 10' cables and turn that mistake into a win .

Answer:	Most audiophile reviewers say these headphones go best with classical, Jazz and electronic music. I personal use them for everything and they sound fantastic. You'll need a good amp to power them, but even on high volumes there is minimal noise leakage. Depending on the seal around your head/face, the noise can be heard outside. Although I've never heard a complaint that it was too loud for a person in the same room. Most time they never heard anything, but I don't play music loud.

Answer:	There is no way for and end user to change the beep volume. Supposedly, Aftershockz is aware of this. Their "R & D department is "working on this" and a "product of lower beep sound" will be "introduced to the production line" and "the volume of the sound will drop by 3dB". (Source: A contact us / support request email exchange with Aftershockz in JAN 2021. No indication of which model or when this improvement will be introduced, but I am hoping soon and that they tell us when it happens). If I remember correctly, the beeps on my older Trekz Titanium were a lot quieter. The loudness of beeps on my recently purchased (Jan 2021) Aeropex Mini is very jarring and almost painful if I am wearing ear plugs or in a quiet environment. I find that loud beeps aren't as bad if I am not wearing ear plugs, but definitely annoying and a bit uncomfortable. In my opinion, this is a SERIOUSLY BAD DESIGN decision by Aftershockz. This has CHANGED my view of the Aeropex / Aeropex Mini from a really AMAZING, NEARLY PERFECT product, to something that I am SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING RETURNING. (Since language settings can be changed by the end user, I think Aftershockz should seriously consider a programming a setting where you can mute these beeps for those sensitive to loud or abrupt sounds.) (NOTE: I tried lowering & muting my ring tone and adjusting max volume settings on my phone per other commenter's suggestions, but this has not had any effect on the loudness of the headset button beeps. Answer:	I've not actually done this as I have a different novation device for this, but as this device's buttons are assignable, the answer is yes. Depending on your DAW's compatibility with this device though, you might find yourself needing to do a good bit of device registration customization. For instance I use Studio One and there was not a direct device match in it's available profile. I can use the keyboard and some of the knobs as a default midi device, but have to customize the device profile to assign all of the functions. Something to be aware of.

The new HD 660 S is the successor to the legendary HD 650. Advanced Transducers

The HD 660 S employs newly designed transducers featuring extremely lightweight aluminum voice coils coupled to diaphragms precision-crafted from stainless steel fabric. This combination results in exceptional transient response and improved control of diaphragm movement reducing distortion. Additionally, transducers are produced and matched to extremely tight (± 1 dB) tolerance ensuring superb performance.

Versatile Connectivity

The HD 660 S is supplied with two para-aramid reinforced detachable cables employing high conductivity OFC copper to ensure signal integrity with very low handling noise. One cable is terminated with a 6.35mm stereo plug (a 3.5mm adaptor is also included), the other with the new 4.4 mm Pentaconn balanced stereo plug. Balanced connectivity can reveal full HD 660 S performance potential when paired with the balanced output of a digital audio player or headphone amplifier like the Sennheiser HDV 820.

Supreme Comfort

The HD 660 S is designed for pure listening pleasure. Its open-back architecture is strong yet lightweight and allows airflow to the ears, keeping them cool during listening sessions. The large elliptical ear cups are shaped following the anatomy of the ear, and feature soft velour covered ear cushions. Thick headband padding completes the comfort package to provide hours and hours of supreme listening pleasure.
