If you use it outdoors it would be for camping or somewhere quiet...Outside at a cookout or party is a BIGG FAT "NO!" You will not be able to hear it. In the bathroom it is very hollow...it sounds like you are in a tunnel anywhere. I really do no like this speaker and the battery life @50% volume is about 2 hours maybe 2 1/2 hours possible. The sound is not clear, just tunnel and hollow...Not worth the money, now if it goes down to $2-3.00 but it for the kids!
