Answer: I checked the model number with Google and it said that it is 7th generation, but also had the info that the ios is version12 (a misprint?). Strange since the new 7 on Apple site comes with 13 which the buyer can do a download to bring it up to ios 14. I have a version 12 from 2018 and it cannot be upgraded to ios 13. Be careful. A program I use now requires ios 13 so I have to buy a new one.

Answer: Couldn't tell you, as I have never removed but maybe a couple times to dust/wipe the iPod clean. But it seems sturdy enough.

Answer: The color is red. I don’t believe that Apple made a 1TB iPod. It may have been modified to increase the capacity to 1TB. It works fine and syncs to iTunes. I’ve been satisfied with the appearance and function.

Answer: I've had all of the iPod Touches and kept each. This was my runaway favorite throughout the first year. But by the 3rd year I no longer bothered to use it because of the drastically reduced battery life (less than an hour--less than 30 mins with a brighter screen). I'm hoping the Touch 6 will have a better battery, comparable with that of my earlier iPod Touches. If you get the iPod 5, either plan on trading it in by the end of the 2nd year--or buy one of those external battery cases that are becoming popular with iPhone users. (The iPhone battery case should fit, but you may need to be prepared for a return if it doesn't. Also, before buying the exteneded warranty for an iPod Touch (I never do), be sure to check on Apple's policy concerning weakened iPod batteries. (If you send it out for replacement, plan on $100).
