Answer:	It will start at the beginning, but you can add a bookmark to save location before you power off to restart where you stopped. Also there are two ways to power off one is switch at bottom of device if you use this way it will erase location and bookmark, the other way is navigate back to main screen and hold middle button tell it powers off if you use this way your bookmark will be saved adn also seems you may not need the book mark even but will return to the last place you where at before you powered off.

Check all cables, and check without any devices. If there is a marked difference, you may have a faulty cable or a faulty device. Having said that, faulty cables usually don't introduce fuzziness anymore - HDMI means either it works, or it doesn't. So erratic flickering would suggest a faulty cable. Fuzziness... I don't know.
