Answer: You need a bracket. They are considered a 6.5"S. The S means they are oversized, bigger than a 6.75 almost a 7". The part is by Metra 82-3412. You can always check metraonline.com or crutchfield for fit.

It works great and has a very rich sound. As for authenticity, it came with all of the proper documentation and warranty card and I registered it online through JBL with no problems.
