13 best ge voice recorders
GE (General Electric) voice recorders, particularly their Microcassette Recorders, were popular portable audio devices widely used for recording voice notes, interviews, and other audio content.Microcassette recorders were compact and offered a convenient way to capture audio in a small, handheld device. These recorders used Microcassettes, which were smaller and thinner than standard cassette tapes, making them suitable for portable use.
Microcassette recorders, including those made by GE, typically featured a built-in microphone for recording, as well as a speaker for playback. Some models also had additional features such as variable playback speed, voice activation mode (which automatically started recording when sound was detected), and the ability to connect external microphones for better audio quality.
Portable audio and video devices, like the Microcassette Recorders, revolutionized the way people captured and stored audio information before the widespread adoption of digital technology. They were commonly used by journalists, students, and professionals for note-taking and recording interviews. These devices were especially popular in the 1980s and 1990s.
Please note that specific details about GE voice recorders and their models might vary, and it's always a good idea to refer to the product documentation or manufacturer's website for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this good for recording very noisey upstairs neighbors? if not please recommend a good recorder |
Answer: | I believe Mr. Spiegel's answer of Oct. 19, 2014 is correct. This device lets you make a wall jack for an ethernet line (RJ-45) and a POTS (plain old telephone service). But on the back side, you still have to connect the traditional four wires of POTS, and the six or eight wires of an ethernet line to the appliance. someplace along your single line, you are going to have to split them up. |
Question: | At what speed does it record and playback |
Answer: | The backside connections are screws for both telephone and ethernet. I'm used to punchdown for ethernet so it looked funny however it works well. |
Question: | Where is it made |
Answer: | Yes, you will need a dsl filter if you are connecting a dsl modem to this jack. |
Question: | Will these work with GE |
Answer: | Did you read thew product description? Of course not. But, yes, it does, Double-jack wall plate accommodates phone and Ethernet connections Wall plate screws onto a standard in-wall electrical box - simple to instal RJ-11 and RJ-45 ports Supports Cat5e and Cat6e Ethernet connections White |

User questions & answers
Question: | I can listen to an old cassette with my iPhone's headphones on this device or I'd just listen on a channel |
Answer: | Small should fit 5 year old (like my Grandson) better than medium. |
Question: | Is there a cord or not? It says it's in the box but a reviewer said not. And what voltage cord will be in it |
Answer: | We purchased the 2-3 year old size and it fit our grandson perfect. He just turned 3 years old. Not specifically your question but the fit was right for us. I had very good response from the company selling these gloves. |
Question: | where do you buy the cassettes |
Answer: | I bought Youth XL, they are small so doesn't hurt if they are a little bigger. |
Question: | Does this record in stereo or mono? I want to make mixtapes with stereo songs |
Answer: | I'm not the seller so don't appreciate your hostile pm toward me. Again, use the chart and determine which you feel is more important for sizing - finger length or width as I did when purchasing for my 6 yo grandson. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can It pick up Guitar Audio good at all |
Answer: | Not great but adequate for my needs. Just a slight learning curve getting the correct volume level adjusted for recording. |
Question: | Is this item brand new and in original packing or opened and used |
Answer: | Yes, it does come with a small remote control. No, it does not have 'radio presets'. As far as i can tell, you can only manually turn a simple "old-fashioned regular radio tuning knob" on top of the unit to change the radio stations. (But again, I've never used the remote control--in addition to skipping chapters on the CD player---the remote may possibly control a few radio functions also) |
Question: | This one is $39 & another looking the same is $29. this has higher reviews than the other. what to buy? are they same? please advise! thank you |
Answer: | I plugged my IPhone 6 into the USB port, I was not able to hear pandora. If it is possible I don't know how else to do it. So now I will have to research that on line cause thAt would be really nice if you could hear pandora. If you happen to find out please let me know. Thanks |
Question: | Is this shoebox style, or more like a Walkman style recorder? (can't see pics, so would apprecite any feedback |
Answer: | I had great success transferring a cassette tape to USB. I did each song individually (stopping after each song) and had no problem. I transferred each song separately to iTunes and even burned CD's and it recognizes each song separate. It takes a lot longer but totally worth it! |
