Answer:	Only if you are within hearing range of your phone. The alarm will be from your phone. I originally had it set to notify me if my devices (keys, and purse) were separated from my phone. The result was my phone alarmed too often that my devices were left behind yet they were all in the same room. So, I shut that notice off and use it to find my keys, purse, etc. when I'm missing them. That works great! Your phone will sound off when you push the button on the device you have. If you have your phone and are looking for keys, etc. it will sound off the device you are looking for and show you the current location if it is in range, or the last known location when the bluetooth connection was lost. Looking through the settings, I don't think the pebbles give any kind of warning that you are leaving your phone behind. Your phone will give a warning (sound that you choose) when the pebbles are too far from the phone or phone too far from the pebbles. So if you are within hearing distance of the phone when you walk away with your keys, your should hear your phone play the warning. I see it also has an Amazon Alexa setup for finding your items, but I don't have Alexa to know how that works.
