Answer:	Yes you can, however the output power will drop drastically (form 5 to I think about 2W) with no indication on the display - it would still show “H” for High power. With the included battery pack though (which is essentially 5 1.2 NiMH AAA batteries in series) it achieves 5W transmit power. Which means if you buy it because of 5W output you must use battery pack. However battery pack does not last long. It is only 700mAh. Radio consumes 42mA on standby. So about 16 hours standby time if you don’t transmit. Charding time on the other hand is 12 hours. Make your own conclusions.

Answer:	They work perfectly for us through trees & hills & underground. We use them to communicate between two houses, & they even work from the cellar underneath the garage over to the next house. • Trim the plastic a little around the pins for the plug end in order for it to completely plug all the way into the radio. If the sound is not loud enough and the PTT function does not work then the prongs are NOT far enough into the radio and the plastic must be sanded down further. Once the prongs are far enough in, the PTT and sound levels work perfectly.
• Made of premiun ABS,this PTT is a good walkie-talkie connecter and fits for Kenwood 2 pin radio. The headphone should have U94 type connector, then plug the connector into this Adapter.If the headset has the NATO standard 7MM plug, It should work just fine

Answer:	I used a dremel with a cutting disk. Go very slowly and slice through to weaken. Make sure u extend the steel rods or u will be cutting through them too. If u dont get all the way through its ok, just so u weKen it and then use a flat blade screw driver to pop off. Its a major pain in the *ss. U have to watch u dont cut into the ear cup. Good luck!
