Q1.Why did we decide to design a "Fan" on the amplifier?



A1. During the programming of investigating regular customers of the amplifier, over two thirds of the customers leave the mssage that they need to put a additonal fan to cool the amplifier when it is working.They think sometimes, when a fan is not availabel, it will get much more business. Also, considering that the high degree of heat dissipation will affect the amp's working efficiency, our engineers decided to put a fan on the amplifier. It does greatly ease the problem.



Q2. Why chose such a " loud voice " fan to put on the amp.



A2. Dear friend, if it is that at the first, we got two kinds of the fans to consider ---- one is with lower noise and cost but just with lower rotate speed, while another one is with a louder noise and higher cost, but it works more perfectly and feectively with hiher rotate speed. So, we choose the later one, although the noise is louder but it does work well with the heat dissipation.

• The most effective working frequency is 20-30 MHz, and with the situations of working under 20 MHz, the v.s.w.r will be higher and also the heat dissipation will be higher.
• About the working general output for AM & FM mode is around 100W and the most effective output is around 200 W with input 5 W and around 200-250 when the input is 10W.
• The frequency of the connecting antenna is very significant. It is also should be connect with the amplifier corresponding frequency. If it is lower or higher than the required, it will not work and even will not only burn out the amplifier but also will damage the radio.
• If you want to reach the PE MAX output, please check that the input should exactly 10W or 5W, the DC Power should actually be over 14V and 18A and also other conditions should be perfecT. Different mode have the different input requirement.
• However, we do not suggest to work the PE Max for a long time,it will decrease the amp' life time and also if the antenna can not endure the output watt, which will damage the amp, thank you very much!

Answer:	No it channel is broke down five partial frequency.... Good radio. Just remember its a 10 meter. It does not have the same frequency's as a Cb.

Answer:	70+ watts PEP. Please note, it is not a CB (those are legally limited to 4 watts). The main reason people buy this 10 meter radio is to have it converted to an 11 meter radio; the 11 meter band is also called the Citizens Band thus CB.

Answer:	I can't say for sure; but most of these types of radios are powered by a 12 volt DC power supply. This includes 12 volt systems in modern vehicles. I recommend not using the cigarette lighter but use the auto. battery. Of course you should put an appropriate fuse in the positive lead to the radio. As a side note; if you are a CB operator, these Stryker radios can transmit in the Amateur Radio 10 meter band (28 to 29.7 mHz). They are not properly FCC Certified for operation in this band and it is absolutely illegal to do so (even if you are a licensed Amateur Radio Operator). If you use this item to transmit in the 10 meter Amateur Radio Band you are breaking the law and are personally subject to severe financial penalties as well as incarceration in a Federal prison. There have been efforts, though not effective, to eliminate these radios from sale in the United States of America. Be aware, the FCC has the personnel and equipment throughout the U.S.A. to monitor both commercial and non-commercial transmissions and I can assure you they do!

Question:	Ham radio requires 3*antenna power. so if ham this provides 120w and means 40w transmitter max
Answer:	Its within the frequency range. The drive watts may be to high. I use mine on ssb10 meters and found it needs very low wattage to run . But I hear people who try to use it on CBs finding out the hard way they are driving with to many watts and SWR to high . On 10 meters with 2 watts of drive and 1.1 swr Iv have never had any problem. Works great . Puts out more wattage than my HF Icom 718 base . And never had any over heating problems. I use it with my Icom with power on low on the base rig and control the power to the amp to get up to 250 to 300 watts into a 1.1 swr . Its all about the drive power . It needs very little . I'm satisfied with how it works for me . Control the RF in and don't ask for more out that its made for. And should get great results as well

Answer:	Acquire a AC to DC power supply. I use one with a 50 A. output capacity. (Better too much than too little.)

Answer:	Amp bellow 20Mhz the output power will be lower and VSWR will be higher than 20-30Mhz. Please don't be mind, if you are bad at low-frequency products, please don't purchase. The BTECH AMP-25 Series is designed to work with any BaoFeng or BTECH handheld transceivers, but it will also work with any handheld radio that outputs 2 W – 6 W with the appropriate cable. With the included Radio to Amplifier RF Cable, the amplifier will also work with Wouxun transceivers, some TYT transceivers, and some Kenwood transceivers. If the supplied cables do not connect to your radio, you will need to use adaptors or build cables with the appropriate connectors.



Your BTECH AMP-25 amplifier does not include an antenna. It is very important to not transmit without an antenna or dummy load connected to the ANT connector on the rear panel of the amplifier.



Transmitting without an antenna or dummy load may cause harm to the radio equipment.



When choosing an antenna, make sure that it is suitable for the bands you plan on transmitting and receiving on. For example, if you plan on transmitting on 145MHz, make sure that the antenna you select has an SWR of 1.5:1 or less on that frequency. Using an antenna with an SWR greater than 1.5:1 could damage the amplifier.



If you plan to use a magnetically-mounted (mag-mount) antennas, ensure that the antenna is grounded to a metal surface, such as a vehicle body. Magnetically-mounted antennas do not operate properly without a good ground.

Answer:	Your question is not clear to me. There are bare wire hook ups and a standard cigarette lighter plug in available. The cigarette lighter hookup will be something you have or have to buy to plug into the unit. The bare wire hookup should be obvious.

Answer:	Doesn't catch and won't "click" on. That lends to a switch mechanism problem. Disconnect any power going into the Pyramid. The cover removes simply by undoing screws on the side. Examine the switch and look for debris that disrupts the on position and or a broken piece laying in the bottom of the housing. The toggle is a common one that can be replaced from Pyramid or even Radio Shack is a possibility.
