Question:	Are the spikes removeable as it will be sitting on a laminate floor
Answer:	My son said, that if he remembered right, he had to screw in the spikes. We have a stereo system on it right now, but I can feel a ridge between the spike and the leg, which leads me to think that it is 2 separate pieces and can be removed.

Answer:	You can't leave a shelf out because the posts screw into the bottom/top of the shelves. There are longer 10 in. posts that you can buy but they still aren't tall enough to accommodate records.
Question:	Are there any other bottom choices beside slide pads? The pointed legs are damaging to hard wood floors and the legs come out of the pads too often
Answer:	I think the pointed ends can be left off. You could put round felt pads under the legs on wood floors. It's a nice looking unit.

But other than that it is an excellent choice (might want to skip it doing your 1040k, the last audit did NOT go well!)

Question:	My unit does not pick up any radio channels. Suggestions? (I have a handyman). Will return if not
Answer:	The antenna is hot glued inside the unit around the perimeter (some of it runs under a circuit board). It is one of the black wires about 1.5 ft. long. Unless you live above the radio station the reception will be terrible. To get better reception you need to remove the screws and take off the top. Carefully break the antenna free from the glue and unwind it. Drill a small hole in the back and thread the antenna through the hole. Put it back together and position the antenna wire so that you get the best reception. Make sure that you identify and ONLY pull (it will take some effort) on the antenna wire when breaking it free and be careful not to damage any of the other components or wires.

Answer:	No, it only has an aux input. The only output is the built in speaker.

Answer:	It depends on how deep your cabinets are, the radio is 11.75 deep. You can also drop it so it is not flush with the bottom of the cabinet.
Question:	Will it play mp3 players that are NOT an Ipod? Like a droid or windows phone with an audio jack
Answer:	Yes, but now that I have a Samsung Note 3, the phone does not fit in the holding cradle. Wish this came with Bluetooth so I didn't have to use the audio jack. If they built a flat extension next to the system, I could lay my phone next to it. But as it stands, I need to find an audio plug extension so I can lay my phone on the kitchen counter.
Question:	Our kitchen cabinets, front to back, including the tile back-splash, allow for 11.5" of mounting space. Will this unit fit into this space
Answer:	depending on how far out you want the unit to stick infront of the cabinet. It comes with risers so you can lower it sufficiently to clear any lip of the cabinet. Mine sticks out in front of the cabinet by about half an inch and it's fine.

Answer:	I think this is incorrect? Other persons have said they were disappointed it doesn't get AM radi o. The product info only says FM. I am looking for AM radio, and can't find any AM under the counter radios.

Question:	Will a full size CB radio fit in this mount
Answer:	I mounted a regular car radio in it with no problems
Question:	What is the actual height dimension
Answer:	The maximum height is at the front and in the centre of the unit, I presume to provide for ventilation for the radio whilst providing space saving at the edges. Please understand you are receiving the answer from Australia and here we use millimetres not inches. That said my calculator would agree with the 2-3/4" estimate you have already been provided with. At the front you have just enough space to fit a standard car radio and its cover plate with nominal space left whilst inside the box there is adequate space to provide ventilation for an ordinary radio and its wiring and antenna connection. You will need some sort of packing, I used some firm rubber foam to support the radio to protect from vibration. The box does not appear to be designed for LED / DVD style radios but was more than adequate for my Sony car radio that I fitted to the roof of my Polaris ATV. I hope this answers your question but if you have some other reason for asking about the height let us know and we may be able to help.

Answer:	I think this would be a prefect solution for your project, I installed one in a trailer for the same purpose and works great. These are verywell made, attractive, pretty strong. These are pretty big for what they are, and if you have the room, go for it.

Answer:	It slides in the front. I think the face pops off and it holds the stereo in. We have 2 of them and the work perfect. One in a 65 impala and one in a 72 pickup
