Answer:	Uh oh...no battery to recharge....if not regularly connected the one time "battery" will fail permanently....don't know why I bought this in the first place, thinking I'd keep it "charging"...no replacement battery...once it dies, it's dead....

Answer:	Work?, yes but it is one of the poorest designed radios I have used. Where to start...the power plug is in a terrible place, and the controls are really awkward to operate. The handle is very hard to use without a screwdriver to open it. The balance is bad, always falling over. The shortwave?, forget it. Now the good. I like the digital read out but with manual tuning. Even though it has no bass to speak of, it actually tunes in the stations pretty well and sounds clear. It's cheap. There are a lot of choices out there, this is not the best but work?, Yes.

Answer:	I also wanted to use it with headphones but it doesn't seem to have that function. The place by the volume control is to plug a mp3 player into (input but not output), so I guess that you can't use headphone with this product (bummer).
