Answer:	It's kind of hard to describe and explain, but there's a clip on each speaker that you *slide* into the main component. When you hear it click, it's attached. It takes some finagling though.

Also when ordering you will need the dementions (meaning the size) of the speaker. I have found that Speakers only is a great place to try and parts express also. The 8 watts is the output of your speakers . Good for a small apartment and for the price.
