It has decided that the battery is not holding a charge as well as it expected the battery to do. Unfortunately, this charger is too sensitive and gives up on batteries that still have a lot of useful life left in them. You can't use this to charge batteries that are more than a couple of years old or batteries made by different manufacturers. I don't think there is a way to defeat the error message and still charge the batteries. |

When C size batteries are placed in one of the slots, it will also take up some space in the 2 adjacent slots.
