Answer:	you can but it needs some modification. unless you have a very level floor. We were trying to put a piece of plate steel on the top to give it a bigger foot print for pallets. It's strong enough to hold them but not very big. The pallet has to be perfectly centered or the edges can hit the ground. It's a good turntable otherwise.

Left one about 20 minutes too long (as based on the time limit suggested) and the only thing I noticed was it was so moist it fell into two big pieces I had to pull out separately. I have used injections and dry rubs and never been disappointed in the way this cooker does the job, I do not like to do my turkeys any other way now.

Answer:	The unit uses charcoal so you will want to use it outdoors. The bottom tray (while burning the charcoal) does get very hot, and it does put off some smoke. We usually set ours away from the house on our concrete pool decking. I wouldn't recommend putting it on a countertop. It does a great job--everything has turned out great. Love it.

Question:	What is the signal to noise ratio
Answer:	I'm not sure what the exact ratio is, but this turntable (at least mine) is NOT silent, in terms of mechanical noise. I can hear the motor running while standing in front of it, but I cannot hear it when I am sitting on the cough approx. 9 feet away. I have an old Acoustic Research XB, which is also a belt drive, that runs DEAD silent. If it weren't for the sound of the motor running, I'd like this table a lot more.

Answer:	The main differences are the MDF 40WN vs plastic plinth 120x, belt drive 40WN vs direct drive 120x, and the carbon fiber upgraded tone arm of the 40WN vs a low end tone arm 120x. Also theres no mention of there being a speed monitoring system for the motor of the 120x. The 120x has a plinth mounted led and a USB output that the 40WN doesn't if that's important. To sum it all up if your aim is to listen to records casually, you dont really care about the hifi, and you have no interest in upgrading the stylus cartridge then the 120x isnt a bad choice. Yes the 120x has the VM cartridges just the same as the 40WN but the tone arm of the 120x would need to be upgraded to really benefit from the change of the cartridge. Also you run into the possible motor vibration issues of direct drive that can affect the sound vs a usually preferred belt drive which isolates the turntable from the motor vibration. My opinion is to spend the extra $ and get the better turntable, the 40WN is much better looking to my taste as well.

Question:	Does it work in a rv tv
Answer:	In theory the cover (for the round cushion, not the mat) is washable, but it's not very practical in that regard. Beneath the handle is a small zippered hole. In order to empty and wash the cushion, you'd have to pour out all the loose buckwheat filling, wash and dry the cushion and then pour it all back in the small hole. Is it possible? Yes. Is it designed to be washed separately? I'd say no, it has a hole to add or remove some filling. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I purchased a set of RCA 6688 (you need this one, not 6J9 - 6688 is model for the Chinese 6J9; American 6J9 tubes will not operate correctly). How to use it?

• Put the turntable at an appropriate place where you are going to display your product, you may need to consider the lights, settings, etc.

This update of the AT-LP120-USB turntable features a new DC servo direct-drive motor, along with adjustable dynamic anti-skate control and selectable phono preamplifier. The fully manual turntable plays 33-1/3, 45, and 78 RPM records and is equipped with a USB output that allows direct connection to your computer. Just download the free Mac- and PC-compatible Audacity recording software (or software of your choice) and start converting your records to digital audio files. But in addition to the USB output, the turntable also comes with a detachable dual RCA output cable and is equipped with a built-in selectable phono preamp so you can connect directly to your home stereo, whether it has a dedicated phono input or not. The turntable features an S-shaped tonearm with adjustable tracking force and an AT-HS6 universal ½"-mount headshell with an AT-VM95E Dual Magnet™ phono cartridge. Question:	Can I plug this turntable into powered speakers and have sound or do I need a receiver
Answer:	You can use it in both ways.
Question:	I have always owned belt drive turntables. I have read that direct drive can be noisy. How is this one as far as rumble
Answer:	My previous turntable was a very nice AR belt drive table, and I had the same concern about direct drive rumble. Not any more. The AT-LP120XUSB is dead silent. It sounds incredible.
Question:	So, since this turntable has a built in preamp, does this mean I can use passive speakers? Or do I need powered speakers
Answer:	No. You'll need powered speakers or you'll need to plug it into an amp to use passive speakers. "Preamp" = pre (before) amplifier. Preamps and phono amps take the very low signal from the stylus and amplify it to a level that an amplifier can use. AND (the reason record players need phono-specific preamps instead of a standard preamp) the preamp/phonoamp also decodes the RIAA format that all albums since the 1950s use, which is proprietary and needs a specific type of decoding to play the music.
Question:	Ok,..in plain english,...can i plug this tt into external speakers? that's all i want it for. if yes,...what type of speakers
Answer:	Yes you can... The turntable has a built-in preamp. You want to buy powered speakers. They sell tons of them now. The best I have heard were KRK powered speakers. To get a good idea of what’s available, check out the needledoctor or crutchfield websites.

Question:	I have one of those vintage look crosley turntables... Love the look but the sound is horrible. I’m hoping this can do better. Anyone know
Answer:	This will sound significantly better than a cheap record player with a ceramic cartridge, which the Crosley certainly is. This record player does not have a caring handle, and does not come with speakers. It does have great sound.
