User questions & answers

Question: What is the difference between the 209 & the
Answer: 209 includes Amazon Alexia built in, plus a few other minor features...….I spent the extra due to the Alexia, even though I have an original and a small echo. There are probably work arounds that can achieve the improvements from 207 to 209 for little or no cost. The speakers appear identical. I just wanted to simplify the living room.
Question: How many watts
Answer: 200 watts total 100 in the bar 100 in the woofer.
Question: This soundbar goes into standby mode every time I pause the cable box. Any ideas how to stop this
Answer: 1. Turn off Power 2. Press the ->[] icon and the power together for at least 5 sec (Manual - Page 38)
Question: Is there any sort of volume leveling feature
Answer: The remote controls both the main speaker and woofer separately. There is also a clear voice and movie feature for better sound.

User questions & answers

Question: I see a response that this can replace a center channel - but can it actually ACT as a center channel as part of a larger home theater system
Answer: yes
Question: whats the bluetooth range
Answer: Thanks for your question. The HW-T450 can connect to a TV via wireless Bluetooth, HDMI/ARC, and "digital audio input". Samsung provides no additional information regarding type of digital audio input although many soundbars use a digital optical connection. World Wide Stereo is 40 years old and a proud authorized Samsung dealer.
Question: Will this work on HD Vizio tv
Answer: No HDMI/ARC on T450. And it means that you cannot control the volume of third party app (e.g. Spotify) from your phone. Also it means that you have to carry two controllers at all times! -- one for the sound volume, and one for everything else. It's just stupid. So save yourself a ton of headache and a return, and go with T550 or T650.
Question: Any recommendations on a specific wall mount for this sound bar
Answer: The 450, 550, and 650 are rated at 200, 320, and 340W rms respectively. So the 650 would sound slightly louder than the 550 (20W difference) but the 550 and 650 would sound a lot louder than the 450 (120W and 140W respectively).

User questions & answers

Question: What has the best sound & highest output in watts - the yas-109 or the bose solo
Answer: BOSE doesn't rate watts output, even in our house sound system; Yes, I'm a big BOSE fan. Watts out doesn't control the quality of sound but does produce volume...but what's volume if the music is distorted! I opted for the YAS over the BOSE Solo 5 because of the ALEXA voice control and not sorry for my choice. This unit works great via Bluetooth and Wifi with great true sound quality.
Question: Does it work with voltage 220V
Answer: No
Question: Can the yas-109 be updated over the internet or does it have to use the usb drive only
Answer: Yes, you can update the firmware through the soundbar app.
Question: Does the yas-109 also come with a subwoofer pre-out like the yas-108 did? the specs don't list the inputs/outputs
Answer: Yes. The subwoofer out is full range sound though. So plan on buying a crossover to put inline otherwise it will sound terrible.
