Answer:	Yes. I have the soundbar hooked up to a 2009 Samsung TV via the optical cable (my TV does not have soundconnect). The soundbar turns off automatically after not receiving a signal for 5 minutes. It turns on again when the TV is turned on. Make sure you have the "auto power" function turned on (you can use the button on the remote...green light = on; red light = off).

Answer:	adapt option on the sound bar which basically can adapt to any condition. Maybe the Bose 700 series maybe better, but more costly

Answer:	I don't believe that it will. There is a web manual on line with more technical information. The User Manual does not speak of any connections to a smartphone.

Answer:	Yes. It's little and has a nice carbon fiber finish on it. Good quality.

Answer:	Yes it comes with an optical cable and both the subwoofer and soundbars have to be plugged into a 120v outlet
