Answer: I just replaced my ST 1080 Benq with the HT 4050. Both projectors, when maxed out on zoom & focus work in the room, With the 4050 there's 2-3 inches of black around the picture. The 1080 will fill the screen, but the black border doesn't bother me, and I'm happy with the performance of the 4050. Overheating has not been a problem with either projector.

Answer: Wish I could help out more. All I can say is I had an installer do it, and he said it wasn't overly difficult. I haven't had to refocus at all in the 3-4 months since installation. It's glorious. I have it set to 135" with fixed frame screen on wall. Once you get it set, you should be good for a while so long as nobody is messing with it and you don't experience an earthquake!
