User questions & answers

Question: Is this offer for single or pair speakers
Answer: Pair
Question: Are they "power speakers?" As in, could they be connected to a record player without a reciever
Answer: The R-14M is a passive speaker that requires a receiver or amp to power it.
Question: Would these be good for near field studio monitors or not neutral enough
Answer: As far as studio monitors, you are correct, they are not completely neutral. They are very efficent speakers however and far exceed the power ratings Klipsch specifies. Their ideal situation is really for home theather rear or side channel surround sound as effects channels. They also make a very powerful, high-fi bookshelf companion for a mini system. I am currently using them in a 7.2 Atoms setup and they knock it out of the park. If you are truely looking for 1-1 studio monitors, Yahmaha is they way to go but have your checkbook ready. ;)
Question: What's the battery for
Answer: I believe that's an error in the description. These are passive, wired speakers. I have a pair...they're excellent speakers for the price.

User questions & answers

Question: Perhaps this is a ridiculous question. Has anyone compared these to the edifier s1000db
Answer: Please see review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Bg1dUC5u5I
Question: Would you buy the sixes or a pair of heresy iiis for a medium to large bedroom? are these loud and are the heresy iiis overkill for a bedroom
Answer: Considering you'd have to buy separate components to power the Heresy's the sixes are a deal simply because of plug and play.
Question: Can you hook up more than one sub to these
Answer: There is a singular Sub Output provided for one Sub if there is a way to hook up a second sub these guys would know. Link Included. https://community.klipsch.com/
Question: Klipsch sixes or audioengine hd6? which is better
Answer: I have the Klipsch Sixes and the HDP6 paired with an amazon amp. So similar to the HD6 but not 100% the same. Here is my take: The HD6 sound more neutral and flater, the Sixes are fuller and have a ton of bass. I like the Sixes better, especially when you pair them with a sub to take the bass stress out of the speakers (I use an Audienengine S8). Both sound fantastic, but the Sixes are IMO a better package. They are also a lot bigger than the HD6, so make sure you have the room. While I can use the HDP6 as a desktop speaker, the Sixes are just way too big.

Question: How much do these speakers weigh
Answer: Each speaker = About 1 to 2 lbs Sub Woofer = About 10 lbs
Question: Can these be connected by banana plugs? Sometimes there are little plastic caps at ends of posts but I don’t see anything removable on these
Answer: These smaller speakers do not have banana plug connector receptacles. The binding posts are the spring loaded type for bare speaker wire.
Question: Have pair of floor-standing speakers, can i use these speakers to make my system 7.1? do i need something different for the second set of rear speake
Answer: Yes, that would work great. Use the satellites for side surrounds and rear. I would also consider replacing the center channel with a larger speaker down the road because there is not much in the mid range and lower. And you want the lower ranges coming from the center speaker and not the subwoofer for directionality.
Question: How many watts can they take also what ohm are they
Answer: Thanks very much for your question. The power handling is rated as Satellite: 50W (200 watts peak) and Center: 75W (300 watts peak), all are 8 ohm speakers. World Wide Stereo is 38 years old and a proud, authorized Klipsch dealer.

User questions & answers

Question: Are these 3- way
Answer: No they have a 6 1/2" mid-range/woofer and a tweeter. There is a tuned port in the rear. I think 3-way speakers are becoming less common with the newer more responsive mid range speakers like these have.
Question: What kind of plug ins will i need in back
Answer: Standard speaker wiring. Plain exposed wire using screw lugs or banana plugs will work.
Question: What is the width and depth
Answer: Product HeightInfo 37 inches Product WidthInfo 9.4 inches Product DepthInfo 15.1 inches
Question: Can anyone give me an honest, experience-based opinion on how these compare with the polk monitor 60?. I'm torn between the two
Answer: It's all a matter of tastes. I've owned Polk speakers. In this situation, I'm sure you'll get more mid range with the Polk's because you'll have more speakers, if that's your thing. I prefer the Klipsch because they are crisper, cleaner, a bit more live like sounding. The Polk's are a bit more subdued, a bit more even sounding. The Klipsch have plenty of bass and plenty of horn, which is where that "live" sound comes from. They are also a bit more efficient. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. FYI..........I have my speakers hooked up to an older Sony receiver with 80 watts pc. Music is all that I use them for. No experience with home theater.
