Answer:	20-100 watts RMS
Question:	what is the difference between the 6.5 inch vs the 8 inch versions
Answer:	The tweeters are exactly the same between the two. The 8" model has a larger woofer and therefore will provide better bass reproduction (i.e., deeper low end bass). The reason for the different sizes is sometimes the spacing distances between the ceiling joist and wall studs will dictate which one you can use . If your wall studs or ceiling joist are on 16" centers then get the 8"... if they are on 12" centers you'll have to settle for the 6.5". Hands down... if you have the room get the 8". Just FYI: The 8" version outsells the 6" version 2 to 1.
Question:	How much sound is transferred to the room above? I'm installing in a basement ceiling below a bedroom
Answer:	Depends on the construction of the house. I would Place a bat of fiberglass insulation behind the speaker if there is no insulation in the ceiling. This will reduce the transmission of sound upstairs , and improve the sound of the speaker in the room it's installed.
Question:	Do these speakers have open backs? Do they come with enclosures
Answer:	This is actually a great question. As the others have said, the backs are open, which is typically not an issue when installing into a wall or ceiling. HOWEVER...if you install into a ceiling that has blown insulation above it (the loose cellulose kind, not the rolled fiberglass kind) then you WILL want to come up with your own way of keeping the loose insulation off the backs of the speaker. If you don't (as I didn't the first time I bought these) then over time the quality and volume of the sound will lessen because of the insulation working into and pressing against the cones. I had to replace one set because of this problem.

Question:	Micca doesn't make towers with 8 inch drivers. I was thinking of buying these and building wooden towers using mdf or something. Bad idea
Answer:	If you are wanting a two way system with a single 8" and tweeter, it should work fine. I'd stay away from any kind of venting unless you have reliable Thiel-Small parameters, but I would definitely recommend stuffing the box with AcoustiStuff or similar. I don't recall if Micca published T-S numbers for the woofer, but since it's made to go in a wall, I presume it's designed for a fairly forgiving infinite baffle alignment. Good luck!

Answer:	I went with 8" for front right and two rears and the dual 5.25 for center. If I were to do it again I would have done two 8s for the center. The duals sound good but need a little more of the lower frequencies

Answer:	I'm using 4 of the 8" as Atmos speakers in a 7.1.4 configuration. I'm very happy with them as Atmos speakers.

Answer:	Its been a while since I installed mine but I do recall the instructions telling you to allow a moderate amount of space around the speaker; something like 1 foot by 1 foot. You do not specifically need a speaker box but your ceiling construction will affect the acoustics so if you find you have no bass, you may need some type of enclosure or baffle behind the speaker. I have four of these speakers installed in a 8 foot flat ceiling which has my attic space open to it and they sound great; one speaker mounting hole is secured to a 2x4 attic beam and the remaining mounting holes are secured to just the drywall. I left the fiberglass insulation in the attic so that it rested on the back of the speaker and again, the speakers sound really good. I also have a 10 inch subwoofer in the living area to handle the real low-end sound but these speakers provide a solid thump which sounds great.

Answer:	As an audio engineer, I can personally tell the difference between the two models. However, to the untrained ear of a casual listener it will be very difficult to notice any difference. This will also differ from person to person as every set of ears and every human brain are just a little bit different. Therefore not every human being is capable of hearing all of the frequencies being omitted from the speakers. That being said, the difference between models is their frequency range. Ask yourself these questions before making a decision :1) Do you commonly notice a difference in the overall sound quality when listening to music on different speakers? 2) Does your listening pleasure diminish when you notice these differences? 3) Are you the kind of person that doesn't mind spending a little more money if you know that you will be getting a better quality product? If you answered yes to these questions, then I would recommend doing as I did and purchasing the 800 model. BTW, if you're "all about that bass" the 800 will also be more appealing as the main difference is the low end frequencies as they always improve with size. I hope this was helpful! Matt. W.

Answer:	Dolby recommends a speaker with ability to aim and if you feel you need that have a look at a CDT-3650-C II. It would depend on where they are mounted in relation to the listening or seating area. If they are just above or above and not too far from the listening area you may be ok with them aiming straight down.
Question:	Is this a Dolby Atmos speaker
Answer:	It was not designed as a Dolby Atmos speaker, but it would work fine as a height speaker in a Dolby Atmos system, especially when used with other Klipsch Reference Premier speakers.
Question:	What backing do you recommend if installed under attic ? will some simple mdf board placed on top do the job
Answer:	I built mine during construction and yes, MDF works well. I built a box that went from rafter to rafter out of inexpensive oak plywood and it has worked very well. Like I’ve told others, don’t merely place it under insulation as I don’t believe it provides an adequate speaker box. Essentially your attic becomes the box in that scenario.

Answer:	They can work as rear speakers in a surround sound system. I use the playbar for my front 3 channels, the subwoofer for the .1 and have these connected to the Sonos amp for my rear. For Dolby Digital content they work as surrounds. For stereo sound(music) I have them set to play the same as the playbar to fill the room more.

Answer:	You do need an amplifier/ receiver yes. I bought a 6 zone Pyle amplifier with speakers in different areas of the house. Heads up these have little bass to the speakers. Will need a sub if you like low notes.

Answer:	Each speaker is generally on a separate wire running back into either the amplifier, sound processor or receiver.
Question:	What tool is needed to cut the hole on cement siding
Answer:	The speaker comes wory a cartoon template. But a $5 drywall saw to cut the ceiling. A screwdriver to fasten the two screws on the speaker in order to mount
Question:	I plan to use these as Front L/R and Rear L/R for my in ceiling surround sound set up. How are these as front speakers
Answer:	We installed them as both front L/R/C and rear speakers L/R in our ceiling. They work fine in all locations. They can't peal the paint off of the walls, but If you are looking for very loud speakers then you may want another more powerful.
Question:	Can I use this as a center channel? Do I need a kit or enclosure to put this in my wall
Answer:	You can use it as a center channel and you just cut it into the wall, no enclosure required. I would suggest a speaker that is advertised as a center channel though, this is a great front or rear but there are better speakers for center, and you don't need to buy a pair and try to find a use for the odd speaker.

Question:	How do you connect these ceiling speakers to your tv
Answer:	If your tv has the option for external hookup then very easy ( positive-negative wires direct to tv from speakers. If not, then you would need a receiver to connect to speakers. Most cases people use the receiver option to amplify sound. Look up some YouTube for extra guidance. Hope this helps!
