Question:	can I paint it with my wall color
Answer:	This is a good question to ask Polk direct. When you receive this system out of the box, It's already program from the factory to react within it'self. In the instruction that comes with the system it does mention these codes can be change. Be safe and ask the pro's who design the system.
Question:	I need them for a concrete wall. is their any problem ? what's the depth of the hole I need to make
Answer:	I would think so, go to the Polk website and contact them.
Question:	Do you need a subwoofer for these speakers? Or do they sound ok without it
Answer:	After struggling and struggling with this same feature (I live in a college town. The college kids were using the unsecured hotspot created by the magnifi to make wifi telephone calls, thus blocking my phone and using up all my router bandwidth ) I found a solution. I unplugged the magnifi, put it in a box, and threw it in the town dump. I then went out and bought a new sound bar that cost 1/2 as much as the Polk that could only be updated when I specifically wanted to update it. I found this to be the perfect solution to a problem the polk WILL NOT fix, WILL NOT assist the customer when asked for help either thru their customer support or their technical support. Now I go around telling anyone who will listen the absolute truth about the lack of support I got from polk. You can do this also.

Question:	Up to what speaker wire gauge size will fit with these speakers
Answer:	Speaker wire gauge is trivial. There's so much marketing BS surrounding the subject that almost all of it is a waste of time. You could even use fifty feet of lamp zip cord one one speaker and your ears will NOT be able to tell the difference from three feet of 12 AWG copper on another. If someone even mentions oxygen-free copper or cutting all speaker cables to within an inch of each other, back slowly towards the door. You will find spring clamps that will not even accept 12 AWG wire.
Question:	I have the sony str-dn1070 mid-level receiver and it is rated for 6 to 8 ohms. will these 4-8 ohm speakers work or should i look for 8 ohm speakers
Answer:	I actually have a similar Sony receiver. I was surprised how good they sound. I have nothing negative to say about the speakers.
Question:	any audiophiles out there that have an opinion on how these compare the the much more expensive paradigm CI Home series
Answer:	They are not going to be equal to a much more expensive, high end speaker, but they are excellent for the money. Where they lack some is low end bass, but most home systems involve a separate subwoofer to provide low end. I have a separate Polk subwoofer to accompany these for my home system and i am overall satisfied. At my office, I have (10) of the 8" Pyle speakers spread throughout and they are perfect for that environment, where I don't need theatre quality sound or intense volume or low end. I am not sure on the specs of the Paradigm Speakers, but know that the Pyle speakers are NOT dual voice coil so they need to be used in pairs. Architecturally, the Paradigm speakers have a cleaner installation, as all you see if grill without a trim ring. The actual installation is almost identical and easy for both new construction and renovation
Question:	If i get 8 speakers - how many watts does the power amp have to be
Answer:	You would need at least 250 watts per speaker. Max wattage is 300 watts to 300 watts per channel for each speaker dedicated would be optimal. But a 2400 watt amp in a good grade could be quite pricey. Depends more on what your plan to use the speakers for a booming system or just something that you can listen to around the house.

Question:	are the speakers sealed in the back for blown in insulation
Answer:	No, they are not in a sealed housing. I have blown insulation in one section where we installed a set and just moved it out of the way. A friend has a set in blown insulation and he fashioned a tube out of cardboard that he inserted through the hole prior to installing the speaker - seems to work for him.
Question:	Do these need mounting brackets for new construction installations and if so, are they ordered separately
Answer:	These speakers are great because they don't any bracket or be near a stud or ceiling joist. Cut the hole using the template and you push the speakers into the drywall opening, then just screw the retaining flanges snug. A grill gets put on top. Easiest install - they can go anywhere you've got wire run.
Question:	Is anything additional needed to mount these speakers
Answer:	All you will need is a Phillips screw driver and a box cutter to cut the circle holes in the ceiling and all peicies fur the speaker are in the box. It's a very simple installation me and my father did mine in a few hours.

Answer:	I have a set mounted in the ceiling of my Den. They are set up as 2nd speakers from a JVC Stereo system. They aren't Bose quality, but for the price they are more than adequate.

Reflective Room Compensation

Reflective surfaces in rooms can make sound brighter and cause image distortion. Engaging the Vanishing reflective room compensation feature (by selecting the low setting) lowers the tweeter level to compensate for reflective surfaces. Vanishing reflective room compensation is a custom audio control that cuts the level only in the 4-5kHz range, exactly where reflectivity destroys sound quality. Outside this narrow 1kHz band, the tweeter retains its detailed and accurate high frequency response, for no loss of realistic musical details.

Timbre-Matching

Answer:	Yes. Spray paintable grills that are held on with magnets. If you want the to blend into your walls, colorwise (and you haven't chosen the color for your walls, yet) choose the spray paint color first. Then the paint technician can color match to the spray paint. Rarely can you color match spray paint to wall paint. But matching wall paint to spray paint should be, relatively, easy. And while I understand that you only asked about the grills, I just wanted to pass along what I wish I knew before I painted.

Answer:	In all honesty, I don't know. Mine are mounted outside but nowhere near any salt water. I would assume that if the speakers are positioned at least three to five feet away from the salt water pool there shouldn't be much of an issue unless the speakers are under an overhang that would direct the salt air (with salt water vapor) towards the speakers. That would be bad for anything made of metal.

Question:	Since the recommended wire has mixed reviews, can I use either a red/black 14-16 awg or copper wire
Answer:	I'm not sure what type of wire the guys used that installed mine however it was not what came with the speakers. They said great speakers need better wire so we bought different. Speakers are awesome!!

Answer:	Not with your smartphone, only with laptop if you have IOS, something about 1 Bluetooth chip per device. Laptops have more capability. You can link both speakers together with MacBook but you need to do it each time and they both have to be in range
