Instructions:

1. Please insert the attached connector USB terminal to your computer USB interface, 3.5mm headphones by audio branch

2. Gain description: 1-3 levels are gain attenuation, 4 level is 0 gain, 5-6 levels are gain amplification.

Please adjust input volume and gain to make the display amplitude at an appropriate range (default value 3);

3. If happened to full screen display, please reduce the gain or input volume; if the display still dances

when no sound source input, please replace the power supply to test or use computer USB terminal as power supply;

4. If the audio input terminal needs to be connected to amplifier output or speakers, please use capacitor and potentiometer

to attenuate the signal, and please make sure that the audio signal input voltage should be within 5V,

or the sound spectrum analyzer will be damaged.

Please do not use counterfeit phone chargers, unstable power supply or other power supplies which have large ripple,

or it will cause background noise or damage to the audio analyzer.

Answer:	Frequency response does not matter. This unit is a meter that measures signal strength/level - which is apples and oranges to frequency response. It will work fine with your subwoofer but don't hook it up to the power outputs from the amp - hook it up to the signal going into the power amp.

Answer:	Yes, XLR is positive, negative and shield. Depending on signal direction. If xlr to rca shield would only connect at xlr. If rca to xlr shield would be connected to rca negative post. When shield is connected to sorce connector only it creates a shield to block interference along the cable.

Answer:	47 seems a bit high, but listen to what is around you. There may be things that you've grown accustom to and therefore 'tune them out'. If you have a large closet with a fair amount of hanging clothes (they absorb a lot of noise), try it in there. In my case I get 38-40. Also, holding it can make a difference. What do you get if you put it on a tripod? I had an opportunity to compare mine to a pro-quality unit (> $2,500) in a sound room, but didn't think about it at the time given the rush to get things done.

If you're looking to meet ANSI then I suggest you spend the money and buy an appropriate product from a more scientific company. No slam on Meterk but they appear to sell a wide variety of products. You may wish to consider Amprobe SM-10 at $172 as it seems to meet ANSI, IEC, JISC (Japan) and N10140 (Australian) standards

Warm tips:

1. Default setting that when GAIN is rotated to 50% position, VU meter's input voltage of the 0dB position is 0.775Vrms.

2. The VU meter is driven by an exponential gain algorithm, when the input volume is small, the swing amplitude of pointer is large, and when the volume gradually turns up, the swing amplitude of pointer is smaller.

Answer:	You will have to get one from the company that made your amp. But this is an excellent product and will do exactly what you need to do. You will just need to buy some RCA's to be able to use this. Plus the volt meter is nice to have.
Question:	What is the material used for this case
Answer:	Run rca from head unit to knob mounted near the driver.. Then run rca to the rear..If you are using a factory head unit, You will just need to run longer rca to the frint, then back to amp.
Question:	Do I have to use line in and out or does the unit have a built in mic
Answer:	You don't... The height of the dancing bars is not dependant upon volume, but rather the signal transmitted across the cord... Make sure all your cords are in good condition, and make sure they are plugged into the jacks all the way (not forcefully)... If your green bars are not reaching close to the top, then your source isn't pumping enough millivoltage... Try a different source... MERRY NEW YEAR
Question:	Can this be installed between the amplifier/receiver speaker outputs and the speakers themselves
Answer:	its a chinese product, but it works well, a headphone connection is sufficient to make it work even at low volume level, it has auto gain so the levels automatically adjust on display, its correct since bassy frequencies on left, vocals in centre and treble on right side.
