Answer:	Dolby Atmos is more to do with your a/v receiver than with your speakers. As long as you a/v receiver can decode Dolby Atmos audio signals, you can use a simple surround sound speaker and connect it to your a/v receiver's speaker output ports.

While I'm sure that having the drive would give it more immediate appeal, the drive will not be in prime demand for at least a few more years.
