12 best rca amplifier

RCA amplifiers are electronic devices designed to increase the strength of audio signals, making them louder and more suitable for powering speakers or driving headphones. Here's some information about RCA amplifiers and their relevance to amplifiers, receivers amplifiers, home theater, home audio, and electronics:

  1. Amplifier Types: RCA manufactures various types of amplifiers, including stereo amplifiers, home theater amplifiers, and integrated amplifiers. Each type is designed to serve specific audio applications.

  2. Stereo Amplifiers: RCA stereo amplifiers are designed to amplify two separate audio channels, typically left and right. These are commonly used in stereo audio setups for music playback.

  3. Home Theater Amplifiers: Home theater amplifiers from RCA are more advanced and are intended for use in multi-channel audio and video setups. They often come with multiple audio inputs and can drive several speakers simultaneously to create a surround sound experience.

  4. Power Output: RCA amplifiers come in a range of power ratings, measured in watts per channel. Higher wattage indicates the amplifier's ability to deliver more sound output, which is important for larger rooms or speakers with higher power requirements.

  5. Connectivity: RCA amplifiers typically feature various input options, including RCA inputs (hence the name), HDMI inputs, optical and coaxial digital inputs, and sometimes even Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity. These options allow you to connect various audio sources like CD players, turntables, TVs, and streaming devices.

  6. Sound Processing: Many RCA amplifiers include built-in sound processing technologies such as Dolby Atmos or DTS:X for enhanced audio experiences in home theater setups.

  7. Controls: Amplifiers usually have controls for adjusting volume, tone (bass and treble), balance, and sometimes more advanced settings for equalization and sound customization.

  8. Compatibility: RCA amplifiers are typically designed to work seamlessly with RCA brand speakers and other audio equipment, but they can also be compatible with a wide range of third-party speakers and devices.

  9. Design and Build: RCA amplifiers come in various designs and sizes to fit different home audio setups. Some models may have a sleek, modern appearance, while others prioritize functionality and durability.

  10. Price Range: The price of RCA amplifiers can vary widely depending on the features, power output, and audio quality. There are options available for different budgets.

When selecting an RCA amplifier, consider your specific audio needs and the compatibility of the amplifier with your existing equipment. It's essential to ensure that the amplifier's power output matches the requirements of your speakers to achieve the best audio performance.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this thing have an/off switch or do you need to plug/unplug everytime you use it
Answer: no switch. You can plug/unplug, I leave it plugged in all the time.
Question: Unit works fine for awhile and then starts outputting static, even with no input connected. I've tried it with several amps with the same results
Answer: Most likely people who are having noise problems it is because of ground loop isolation problem. If you have a ground loop isolation problem grounding the preamp box is unlikely to help. Without getting technical, what you want to buy is a ground loop isolator or a humm eliminator; both the ground loop isolator and humm eliminator tackles the cause of the noise at the fundamental source of the problem, depending on your audio setup, one maybe easier to use than the other. To use the ground loop isolator or the humm eliminator they generally come with instructions, or you can google this topic. If the noise in your audio system isn't fixed by using this solution the first time, try putting the ground loop isolator and humm eliminator at various points in your audio system. Also you can talk to audio people and get advice about how to fix ground loop problems from people who setup big audio systems, for concerts and such; if you talk to the average electronic garage shop audio enthusiast you are likely to get bad advice, i.e., meaningless explanations. Also caution must be used when Googling this topic, much of the discussion, advice and explanation on this topic is bogus, you can get a general correct feel of this topic if you read a number of explanations. Also one more thing that can cause a "popping noise" is that you have too much gain, this is a phono amp and the gain is huge, it takes a 3mV and makes it 2Vp-p this is a gain of around 100 to 200, if you gain up the audio signal too much then the signal out of your amplifier runs out of head room and clips, this can cause a popping sound, essentially you have too much gain. If this is occurring you need to either buy a preamp with less gain or attenuate the signal before it gets to the preamp. If this is a problem, too much gain, you can buy preamps with gain control.
Question: My turntable has very quiet output. Will this device help boost the volume
Answer: Yes, indeed. If your need was like mine (no built-in pre-amp on the turntable and no specifically dedicated phono input on your amplifier) you will find this unit to be the perfect solution to needed amplification of the turntable's output. Don't forget to hook up the ground wire as directed or you may wind up putting unwanted noise into the audio.
Question: My amp DOES have a Phono Input, but my cartridges are low output. Can I use this to boost the signal using the Phono Input to reduce audible hiss
Answer: No, you can't. This is a phono preamp with RIAA playback equalization that amplifies the signal about 100 times, so it essentially does what your built-in phono preamp does. The output signal from the separate preamp is equalized to a nominally "flat" frequency response and the amplified signal level will overload and probably damage your built-in phono preamp. Plug it into any other stereo line input on your system (AUX, CD, DVD, TAPE, VCR, etc.), but NOT the PHONO input! If you need higher signal gain, maybe look at phono preamps from ART or TCC that have output level controls. If you use moving-coil (MC) cartridges, you need a preamp specifically designed for them...they require at least 55 dB (over 500 times) signal gain vs. about 40 dB (100 times) for moving-magnet (MM) cartridges. Noise becomes a critical issue with MC cartridges because of their extremely low signal output, so good-quality cables and good turntable grounding are essential.

User questions & answers

Question: will this work on my camper
Answer: It worked great with my YAGI antenna but you probably have a much smaller type for your camper. However, the amplifier doesn't care what kind of antenna you have. If your antenna is inside a camper with a metal shell, give up. Otherwise, one thing you might consider is powering the amplifier directly from your battery instead of your 115VAC inverter.
Question: Can this be installed by the tv? My antenna is not close to a power source to plug it in
Answer: The Preamp is outdoor rated and you deliver it power via the coaxial that used to go to the antenna and then insert a new coaxial between it and the antenna. It comes with some rubber boots to weather protect those connections. You can then put the power inserter at the other end of the coaxial. For single TV setups just place it near the TV and plug it into the wall. For me, I placed the power inserter on just before the distribution amp which is less then 10 feet away (mostly vertical) anyway and have both amps running off the same outlet. I lost a whole bunch of station just using the distribution amp but adding this near the antenna brought them all back and even stronger then before. The station 34 miles away is still weak and the one 56 miles away is just a blip but those less then 24 miles away are solid like when I was only running 1 TV.
Question: If i only plug in the power injector and not the pre-amp with fm trap will it still improve my signal
Answer: No, I think you're trying to improve your signal without powering this device. I've done that for my neighbor using a Radio Shack 15-1113b distribution amplifier downstream from this. The Radio Shack unit somehow provide power to this unit and the signal is perfect by regulating over-signaling, which is common for this type of preamp. If you can't find the Radio Shack, you can probably find the Leviton 48210-VA that works similar.
Question: If the power goes out, does the antenna still work with the Preamp
Answer: I doubt the device requires 120VAC. More likely, the Wall Wart reduces / transforms the 120VAC to a lower direct current voltage. Thus, were it essential to retain the amplification during a power outage, I suspect one could fix up an alternative power source. Absent this approach, cutting the AC power would turn the amplification off and it would n longer boost the signal at all.

User questions & answers

Question: Can I use this outdoors with my Bose 251 speakers
Answer: I would not recommend that.
Question: Will the moukey bluetooth power amplifier system connect to a harman karman cd holder
Answer: Yes, if your CD holder has an RCA line output. If so, you can connect the RCA cables into any of the RCA inputs of this amplifier.
Question: Does it work with a tv
Answer: I have bluetooth on my TV, so this is my flowchart. TV - Music is Bluetooth OUT Moukey - The TV Music is Bluetooth IN (to receive the TV signal) Speakers - Hardwired to Moukey If your TV / Roku / FireTV does not have Bluetooth, Then you can probably use the old fashioned Red & White RCA aka Mushroom-connections to hardwire the TV to the Moukey. I hope this helps.
Question: Can I use 128gb SD card
Answer: Yes, you could, but we would suggest you use a USB or SD card below 32GB.

    User questions & answers

Question: If I have a record player without a Preamp, will this help me with hooking it up to a Sonos
Answer: You can hook it up to anything with a red and white connection. Or if you get the rca to 3.5mm jack then you can hook it up to anything with an input slot. I used this on my realistic lab 440 which doesn't have a preamp. Once I connected the ground from my turntable into the ground slot on this amp, my music sounded loud and clear.
    Question: mp
Answer: Turntables (with typical magnetic cartridges) have very low signal output (a few thousandths of a volt). Records have the bass reduced to provide enough room on the surface for the recorded grooves, and the treble boosted to reduce the surface noise level when played back. A phono preamplifier performs two jobs: - It boosts the small signal from the turntable by about 50 to 100 times (producing a "line level" signal) so it can be used by typical receivers or amplifiers.- It also boosts the bass and reduces the treble according to an industry standard (the RIAA equalization curve) to restore the signal from the record to its original frequency response. The Pyle PP999 is just an inexpensive phono preamp, nothing special. Phono preamps can range from $20 on up to whatever you're willing to pay for ultra-high quality. Some manufacturers make "USB" phono preamps that have A/D (analog-to-digital) converters built in and connect to a computer's USB port. Most of these provide "CD quality" conversion (16-bits at 44kHz or 48kHz). These may be adequate for digitizing your vinyl, but many computer sound systems can provide up to 24-bit, 192 kHz conversion depending on the software you use (much higher quality), by connecting the preamp output to the computer's line input. Don't just convert directly to MP3 files...you'll lose too much detail compared to the original vinyl sound. It takes almost no time to make an MP3 copy of a high bit-rate WAV or FLAC (lossless) file, but it'll take you an hour to make ANY digital copy of an LP, so do it the best you can the first time!
Question: So this is a stupid question, I plug my RCA wires coming from my turntable into the Amp. But where do I plug the speaker wires into on the Amp
Answer: TurnTable==>PreAmp==>Receiver/Amplifier==>SpeakersThe 'Pyle PP999' is the "Preamp". The Turntable is plugged into the PP999 INPUT and the PP999 OUTPUT plugs directly into any (non Phono) INPUT on the receiver. Your Receiver allows you to switch between different music-sources, contains the primary-amplifier and distributes the final sound out to the speakers(and subwoofer). The Receiver should have multiple inputs for receiving signals from eg. CD, Tape, VCR, etc. In my experience those labels are for convenience and interchangeable with the exception of a "Phono" input. NOTE: If the receiver has a "Phono" input then there's a built-in preamp. If your using an external preamp (Pyle PP999) do NOT plug it into the Receiver's 'Phono' input, it could cause damage. I plug the preamp for the turntable into the Receiver's 'VCR' or 'TV' inputs.
Question: I have the Pyle turntable and Pyle stereo but they don't work together--VERY low sound--so is this the missing piece
Answer: Turntables (with typical magnetic cartridges) have very low signal output (a few thousandths of a volt). Records have the bass reduced to provide enough room on the surface for the recorded grooves, and the treble boosted to reduce the surface noise level when played back. Most modern receivers DO NOT have the right inputs to deal with this signal (no "phono" input). User questions & answers

Question: I want to boost my ipod signal to the aux in of a car stereo. will this work for that? it has rca female input jacks on the back of the stereo
Answer: Yes. Just keep in mind that this booster requires a power source in addition to the input and output cables. The power supply (fits in an ac outlet) is included with the device.
Question: Can it drive 4 rock speakers from a rheostat connected to my home theater system
    Answer: No
Question: Hi there, I have svs pb 2000 subwoofer connected to yamaha receiver and the output is way too low, i can barely hear that the sub is there.how do i co
Answer: Its odd that your SVS pb 2000 (500WRMS 1000w peak) is too low when connected to the output of a yamaha receiver. I have exact same sub connected to line out output of a receiver (all line level outputs are about the same on all receivers) except some are a function of the receiver's volume and others are fixed volume. Either way, when my SVS pb 2000 volume is slightly over half its loud as hell, house shaking. Are you sure you have everything set/connected correctly ? Does your yamaha reciever have a dedicated bass out jack ? Something doesnt seem right. Try connecting to some other line out output on yamaha. Try disconnecting or shut off your main speakers, turn receiver volume to half way and see how loud sub really is. Does your music actually have subwoofer frequency content?? Try some modern rap or EDM music with known loud bass content. Just curious, are your speakers too loud at halfway? Anyway this little amp is extremely easy to connect. User questions & answers

Question: Does this amp have enough power to run four 4" speakers
Answer: This amplifier allows independently customizing the amount of bass and treble from an audio source. It doesn't sound very good but it has those controls.
Question: I am looking for more control over bass treble. Hook this into any audio out and keep speakers plugged into receiver and still get functionality
Answer: Mine didn’t come with a power supply either. I contacted amazon to correct the issue. It was a simple mix up since they sell the exact same amp, with and without the power supply. They sent a whole new amp and power supply.
    Question: Where is my powersupply
Answer: Do you mean white noise? I am going to assume it was a type. If you troubleshoot both inputs as in moving the working channel from L to R and vise versa and both channels work with one wire, do the same from the source. Make sure it is not the source. Try a different device. I mean this is sort of basic troubleshooting. If you find the problem still does not go away , then you have a bad unit and you need to exchange it.
Question: I'm getting white mouse only when i connect the two input channels. if i only use one, the audio comes out ok from the speakers.anyone know why
Answer: Hi, please do not worry, the tracker built-in USB Plug.Just pull it down along vertical rather than horizontal direction to separate the device from the wrist strap, easy to charge with any USB block and computer; no charging cable or dock needed
