However, the problem I have with this unit is the design change from prior model (very similar in appearance) that has a AGC on the amplifier that with the poor FM tuner (bad selectivity) makes for very low audio on some sources. I have not used the sd & usb much yet and don't remember off top of my head if the AGC (auto gain control or circuitry) affects the digital media playback but I don't think the agc affects it, but rather the aux input and fm tuner which is the two primary imputs I intended mainly to use this unit with. I was so disappointed that if it were convenient to me I would have immediately returned this unit for refund since the 600 watt p.a.p.o. output power is typically limited by the agc to about 5 watts rms on some sources in practical usage (depends on station audio, reception of rf signal and many other things). |
