Answer:	I’ve just tried it and I see that The noise cancellation only functions if Bluetooth is on, whether or not it’s connected to a bluetooth source. I’m guessing that the drive signal for the noise cancelling is actively mixed with the DAC (digital to analog) signal from the bluetooth receiver, so all the onboard electronics need to be ON for noise cancelling to function. If you’re using a wired connection the Bluetooth is off, and, evidently, so is the active circuitry driving of the speakers (I say evidently because the volume controls also non-functional in wired mode.) So, yes. You don’t need any music playing to hear that the noise cancellation is working. Note, though, that the active noise cancellation only cancels out low frequency ambient noise, like the droning bass sound of engines or air conditioners.

Answer:	Yes, it *can* connect to two devices (in my case, iPhone and MacPro), but switching is problematic; I often disconnect it from the device I am not listening to and just keep one device connected at a time; this is one of the weakest points of these headphones; there are other brands that will switch to the device that is producing audio at the time, but these headphones will remain listening to a device after audio has stoped and even after you have muted that device. Then, if I am listening to my iPhone and walk away with it, I will hear an annoying "lost connection" warning over and over, interrupting the audio from my iPhone until I reset the power on the headphones, which by the way, cannot be re-powered immediately after power-off; you have to wait about five seconds before pressing the power button again. Frankly, it is obvious that these headphones were developed by some other company and Sennheiser just lent its brand; there are too many, too-rough edges for this product to be a true Sennheiser design.

Answer:	Measured in decibels (db) snoring falls between 60 and 90 decibels, normal talking is about 60 db, a vacuum cleaner 70 db, and a chainsaw 100 db, a quiet room is about 40-45 db. Using industry calculations a NRR 33 db rated hearing protector reduces sound by 13 db. This makes my sleep more comfortable but not soundless.

Answer:	unfortunately earplugs aren't meant to completely cancel out noise. Average snoring is measure in decibels (db) which is from 60 up to 90. As reference normal human speech is around 60 db. so if he he snores louder than when you normally talk you can assume its in the high 80s. Earplugs have ratings and this has a rating of 32. Basically it reduces the decibels from 30-40 which is a considerable drop. That being said, unfortunately it won't cancel out excessively loud snoring but it does bring it down a lot. Coming from someone who values sleep I would suggest looking into why your partner snores as that could honestly lead to real health concerns for the person. There are reasons and solutions for snoring so do not lose hope!

Answer:	Package says they are latex free. I would think the other stuff wouldn't be a concern for most people, as these are ear plugs and not something that should be ingested.
