Answer:	As stated in my review, the first pair of batteries that came with the unit, lasted 4 1/2 years. The little button on the bottom is a 3 channel position slide switch. Depends on the location you place the unit (transceiver) determines the best channel. You will need to try each of the channels for the best reception. Does this answer help you?

Answer:	In this order: Connect the headphone base to wall power, but not to the TV. Hang the headset on the base and make sure it's charging (red light will be on). Allow headset to fully charge (a few hours). While the headphone jack is still not connected to the TV: Turn on the TV and turn it up loudly enough that you can hear it. Connect the wire from the headphone base to the TV. Make sure your 3.5 mm connector is plugged all the way into the socket (sometimes people don't push them in far enough). The TV speakers should be muted now. Check to make sure you have a green light on the headphone base, meaning that it is getting an audio signal. Turn on the headphones. You may just hear static, or you may hear distorted TV sound. Turn the fine tuning adjustment on the head phones until you have good audio from the headphones.

Answer:	Our Toshiba TV has on-screen settings menus that allow cutting off the speakers while leaving the audio jacks active. But there are a few menu steps, which gets to be a nuisance when executed 5 - 10 times in an hour. So instead I plug the RS120 base transmitter into the Directv satellite receiver., which allows use of the headset with the TV speakers muted -- or even with the TV turned off. (One tiny issue with that arrangement: the receiver audio and the TV audio are not perfectly synchronized, so if you elect to use the headset while the TV speakers are on, you get an echo effect.)

Answer:	I wipe the bulk of it out with my hand and then rinse and wipe the folds under running water. It's not ideal but not sure of a better way.

Answer:	I have very long hair and I notice it does wrap around the bristles and get stuck. However the great thing about this vacuum is the brush piece is removable for cleaning. It comes off the front of the vacuum with just the push of a button, so you can easily access the bristles. Once it's removed it's very easy to clean the bristles of accumulated hair, lint, etc.

Answer:	Christopher is correct. Although you can purchase a secondary set - which we did because the clarity while listening/watching a show is so much more enjoyable! (Note: Ensure you have a TV in another room before purchasing a second set!). If you do have a second TV elsewhere in your home, put the base where your second TV is and set up just as you did with your original TV and headset. That will be it’s home base and where you charge them, etc. after watching in the other room. We use the pair when we want to watch a show/movie together and both use our headsets simultaneously for clarity and a wonderful theatre like experience. To do so, you simply bring the second headphones out, reduce the volume on the TV to zero, or else there may be an echo, click the small button on the bottom right side of your headphones and the sound will automatically toggle over and you will hear the show/movie from the TV in front of you. I have been a NASCAR fan for years and so is a friend who is also hard of hearing and I mentioned my set to him., my next trip to see him, I took my set and connected it for him. He watched a race and told me that was the first time he could understand what they were saying. Next day he bought a set of his own. Like I said, this is my second set and I'm using both. Answer:	It is actually 2.4 to 2.48 ghz. I stay in a double storey house and my base unit is on the ground floor. I can be anywhere in my house and the headset is able to receive the transmission signal without any problem at all. I am very happy with the RS 195 and would strongly recommend it.

Answer:	The 80s look is how you achieve high quality sound. The minimalist design in more modern headphones is not for better sound. Its purpose is to allow headphones to be carried in a pocket and, perhaps more importantly, be cheap to produce.

Answer:	At least 16 hours, sometimes longer. Assuming 8 hours asleep if left on cradle they will never lose charge. And if you forget to place them on the magnetic cradle overnight, just open the earmuff and put a couple good AA batteries in there (you could use alkaline or regular NiMH recharable). If you put in NiMH rechargeable batteries, then the magnetic stand will charge them as perfectly as the AA batteries that ship with the headphones. If you use alkaline AA, they work perfectly too but don't recharge and might overheat if you try to recharge them.

At my age (73) my hearing has deteriorated sufficiently that I am not to be totally trusted anymore for perfection in sound quality, and these phones are not as clear and accurate as my Grado stereo headphones, but TV also is mostly speech, not orchestral music. I highly recommend them, and someday I should purchase another pair just in case my first pair has a problem. I use them about 3 hrs every night to listen to news after my wife goes to bed.
