Answer:	I loved my Bose QC 30 headset... until after my first workout in the gym. After that, the power button would not turn off. I guess sweat got in there and messed things up. It also did a couple of other buggy things, but the sound and ANC continued to function properly. But the power could not be turned off. So I returned them. I am seeing some reviews where people have used them in the gym without problem. Maybe I just got a defective unit. But for $300, there should be NO defective units! So be aware of this, if you're buying this.
Question:	Is this headphone wireless
Answer:	Yes, the noise canceling works without being paired. Note that they may power off after an idle period. The idle period can be set using the iOS Bose Connect app to 5min, 20min, 40min, 1h, 3h, or never. I forgot about this on a recent flight and fell asleep wearing them. I woke up later to a lot more background noise after they powered down.

Answer:	I have had the Bose QC 15 over the ears, the QC 20i and now the QC 30. Also I have owned a number of different Bluetooth in-ear headphones, over ear headphones and some over ear headphones designed especially for noise blocking (construction and gun range type). Finally I have tried the QC 35 and 25 several times. So with this experience I can tell you that the noise canceling capabilities of any set of headphones is dependent on their approach to noise canceling. Do not use these for the gun range. They, and other active noise canceling headphones are poor for that use case. But these are great for normal everyday use. For use in public transportation or in scenarios with low rumbling background noise, active noise cancelation is better than noise isolating earphones in almost all cases. Full plugs might be better at times but foam, IEM's tend to let rumbling in where ANC cancels it out. Also, I find foam IEM's to be uncomfortable putting a lot of pressure on the sides of my ear canals. The QC30 is much much more comfortable and is very effective at blocking most sounds. They are more effective than the QC 15 or 20's I have owned and much more so than any other brand I have tried (including my Sennheisers). The QC 25's and 35's are a bit better because of passive noise canceling over the ear. But I find earphone much more comfortable and easier to carry and wear. To me the minimal difference in cancellation effectiveness is worth the trade off. For typical use, QC 35=>25>30>20> anything else IMHO.

Answer:	The level of hiss is astonishingly low - the best of any ANR headset I've used :a total non issue.If you remember back to the days of tape decks, the noise is equivalent to playing a chrome tape with dolby C NR on; some other ANR headsets are like dolby NR being off.
