Question:	How long is the supplied cable on SR60e. Thanks
Answer:	It is 6 feet from the plug to the "Y" where it splits to the left and right channels. It is an additional 1 foot from the "Y" to the ear speaker. The cable has been upgraded from the previous 60 i model (more wire strands) and is also heavy duty. Not really suitable for portable devices on the go. If a longer cord is needed an extension cable can be used but should be of equally high quality to the original. There is an adapter for use with 1/4 inch jacks if needed. These headphones are a great value for the price. The sound is superb.
Question:	How do these differ from the discontinued SR80i headphones
Answer:	Dear Kevin:I got the new SR80E 3 weeks ago. I think SR80E has deeper bass, clearer treble,higher resolution, more sensitive than SR80i, but I get the sense that SR80i as a whole is more suitable for listening to rock and roll and jazz than SR80E because SR80i has better bass dynamic response and comfortalbe treble, the treble of SR80E seems a little bit noisy. Maybe SR80E is omnivorous and suitable for all kinds of music omnivorous. That's my opinion. Thank you!
Question:	I'm looking at using these for primarily studio mixing. Any thoughts before I shell out the cash for it
Answer:	Like most things in life everyone has an opinion but here's mine... I wouldn't recommend them for studio mixing unless you deal with primarily acoustic or string based genres. Anything requiring sub-bass presence is going to come out way overblown due to the steep roll off on these. Keep in mind that Grado (house sound) has a peak in the upper mids/lower treble as well as another peak in the upper half of the treble range. If this is your only reference (i.e. no monitors) you're mixes are gonna come out a little thin where those peaks are and your bass will be overblown giving an overall "dark" sound to your mixes. Also ignore the seller hype on soundstage, Grado's are not known for the soundstage but the G-cush will improve it. My money would go to the ATH-M70X if you are looking for mixing/monitoring... they were specifically designed for that purpose. Love my 325e's but wouldn't recommend them to my friends who do a lot of mixing.
Question:	What are the drivers themselves made out of? Like what's the casing material
Answer:	The drivers themselves have a metal casing and are about the diameter of a dime. They are securely center mounted into the plastic ear pieces. I don't know what kind of plastic, but it is very durable. I have dropped my phones many times over the years from a height of around 4' and no damage. They not only sound great but take a good beating. I dropped my $300 Sennheisers twice and there is a small crack on each side of the head piece. I am not suggesting that you should be careless and drop your phones, but the Grados last for years and sound great. I have bought 6 pair of the SR60 and 3 pair of the SR80. I keep some at home, at my studio and I have given some away as they make great stocking stuffers. I also gave a pair to my wife because I love her and because the Grados sound great and don't feel like my head has been in a vice when they are on. My wife would have preferred jewelery or an iPod. I was resentful at her so I took them back and kept them... but 2 years later I bought her another pair of SR80. Our marriage is ok.

Answer:	These are very comfortable headphones compared to other closed-back headphones and can't beat the price. Not sure if there would be enough insulation from outside noise, but i you are in an office environment, I would think so.

Answer:	no. not even close. they sound really colored and weird without heavy EQ.

Answer:	The basic state of the headphones is flat frequency response which is as it should be. Because of this they respond very favorably to how you set the EQ on your playback device. If you want bass, EQ for bass. What they do not do is color the playback like the overwhelming low mid stuff you get out of something like a set of beats. These reproduce what is sent to them very accurately making them great as a studio monitor and even better for home listening. Very impressive headphones for the price point.

Answer:	Super late, but for people googling this, the band is in fact metal (magnets stick to it, didn't test for conductivity). I've been very cautiously bending mine and it seems to be (slowly) working.

Answer:	Let me be frank with Q701 i wouldn't recommend songs with an emphasis on bass and so far i dont like listening dubstep with this headphone,and i wouldn't reccomend 598 for dubstep either,maybe ATH M-50 would be better for all arround music,while Q701 and HD 598 are similar for having an emphasis for Jazz,instrumental or just general pop music where clarity for each note takes priority.

Answer:	These are rechargeable batteries inside that last 20 hours. Its not easily user replaceable, but if you are adventurous, im sure a replacement is feasible. Also AKG will likely do battery replacement.

Answer:	I probably would not recommend using them for running or working out. They are not too heavy, but they will not be secure if you moving around a lot. You will probably be better off with in-ear earbuds or the ones that a small clip that goes over your ear.

Answer:	The level of hiss is astonishingly low - the best of any ANR headset I've used :a total non issue.If you remember back to the days of tape decks, the noise is equivalent to playing a chrome tape with dolby C NR on; some other ANR headsets are like dolby NR being off.

Answer:	I going to guess and say these sound far better than the t500! Over the ear always sound better than on-ear (t500). The bass and loudness is excellent in these. They’re comfortable wearing even with eyeglasses and of course the noise canceling is much more pleasurable. These are also wireless but can be corded if needed.
