Answer:	I had the same question. It appears that the 299 dollar version has the inline call/mic device that the "i" version has always come with. In other words, the newer version allows samsung owners to take calls if their phone has that capability.

Question:	How do these fit, compared to the wired version with slightly different tips? Are they wedged into your ear canal, like most other in-ear designs
Answer:	I have an earlier Bose version, where the ear phone is mounted on a very sophisticated ear bud that seats perfectly in the antihelix of the pinna (outer ear), thereby gently resting in the ear canal itself. That is a MAJOR design advantage, not only in comfort, but also in safety, in that by avoiding pressure against the skin of the ear canal, the chance for discomfort / infection / inflammation is vastly reduced. There is nothing else like the old design on the market. I would only purchase the new model with the assurance that it faithfully incorporated the revolutionary advantages of the 4 older models I have purchased and given as gifts.
Question:	Just how water/sweat resistant are they in use
Answer:	I've had these 7 months and have LOVED them. But... I just ran a little over 2 hrs in constant light drizzle and they stopped working a little over halfway through. I thought they were dead... but ever hopeful I let them dry thoroughly then plugged them in to charge. About 15 min later I was able to turn them on and it talked to me as usual... "battery 40%, connected to..." I left them charging but when I came back to check on progress an hour or so later, all lights were out and I can't turn it on. Will see if Bose will replace. Bottom line: great in dry weather, very sketchy when damp or wet!

The headphones are purely for elitist looking for the name Bose without a care for actual performance.

Answer:	To answer the question, yes there is a microphone. To give better context to the quality of it I'll say that, as a truck driver who has used many different headsets and earbuds, these have been the best. Most others have been unusable while driving but these have been noted by those I've talked to on the phone to be very clear. The only complaint I have is their wind noise reduction is non-existent and they're basically unusable in environments that have unexpected noises. So it would seem their ability to cancel out droning is top notch, but inconsistent noises throw them for a loop.

Answer:	I use mine in the gym, not rough use though. Mine are about 2 years old, suddenly I am noticing cracks in the wire every couple of weeks. I bought something in the hardware store called liquid tape and have painted it on which may extend their life a little. The sound quality for $99 is great, no complaints there and they fit very well even when running, but on these in ear and my Bose Quiet Comfort, I would say the build quality is less than I would expect. They seem to use cheap materials, maybe they want me to replace every 2-3 years.

Answer:	As pointed out, the only physical difference between these and the SIE2/SIE2i earbudes is that the SIE2's have a shorter headphones cable. They do come with an extender but I think that makes the cable too long. These seem like just the right length for me. Also, the SIE2i earbuds have the device controls in the middle whereas these have them underneath the right earbud. Both the SIE2/SIE2i and FreeStyle earbuds are sweat and moisture resistant so the sports don't have any benefit over these.The FreeStyle earbuds are less expensive than the SIE2/SIE2i earbuds to you might as well go with them since they use the same StayHear ear tips, TriPort earbuds, and are moisture/water resistant. I prefer the design of the FreeStyle earbuds as their headphone cable is just the right length and the in-line controls are much easier to blindly find and use.

Answer:	They are not ear buds. They connect to a mobile device and play different types of white noise (waterfall, rain, forest, waves, etc.). You can load some of your own music but we have not tried that. I will add that they are terrific. Excellent noise reduction. My wife can't hear my snoring!!

Answer:	I have had issues with this wire. I recently bought a new custom red Ps4 controller for $60 and this wire didn’t work with it even though my HyperXcloud headset worked just fine. I think it only works with the original ps4 controllers, Can someone confirm if it worked with a custom ps4 controller for them?
