I ordered one because the 4001 plastic connector developed cracks and leaks early on. There are two metal connectors to choose from...brass and satin nickel. The plastic one that comes with the wand itself should be thrown in the trash.

Answer:	When I bought this the 8 foot hose was the longest. The fittings would make it hard to get an off the shelf extension. I have found that the 8 foot hose is more than adequate in a standard tub. If you have to have longer you might try contacting the manufacturer.

Answer:	I believe it is a plastic fitting that is finished to look like metal. Like other reviewers have stated when tightening the fitting to the shower arm tighten to a snug fit.... "Do not crank down on it" and you will be fine. My wife and I are very happy with the purchase.

How to connect the headset with two devices?
