Answer:	It will not reliably "feed" a stack of any "documents" narrower than 3.5" because that's as narrow as the guides will adjust. Why? I don't know. I can't see any reason they couldn't design it to "feed" narrower documents. It will not feed a "stack" of credit slips for instance. But there is no mention of this - since that is what I was mostly going to scan, I'm sending mine back (just got it today, 12/5/16). see less
