Answer:	It would probably cost as much to replace the internal batteries as it would to just buy a second one. I purchased this device I did not notice anywhere to open the box easily to replace the battery/battery pack/batteries. However, here is a possible solution if space is not an issue. You could buy two of those battery packs designed to charge your mobile phone with like a 6" micro usb wire and plug one into the gps. This will give longer battery life. When the battery starts to go down just plug the second battery into it and begin charging the first one.
