Answer:	I doubt it. It's a completely synthetic material. I've had mine for a while and also use it as work in a dirty environment. Cleaning the outside with a little soap and water restores it to looking brand new. It shouldn't do that if it patinas.

Answer:	I got this for the kindle paperwhite which is not $79. The one that is $79 (actually on sale right now for $59) is the kindle with touch, 6" display. The out side dimensions of this kindle are just a bit off of the paperwhite. Paperwhite is 6.7x4.6x.36, kindle touch is 6.7x4.7x4, so it is slightly bigger. Since the paperwhite fits really snug, I don't think it would fit the touch, not without work putting it on.

Answer:	I can now answer how long is long enough for folding back the cover to read to cause the cover to crack and, eventually, fail. I bought my cover in April of 2015. My cover finally started to show wear over four (4!!) years later in the summer of 2019 along the leading edge of the case first, then along the spine. My lovely case is looking rather ratty now, so I came back to buy another. <3 I don't know about anyone else, but I consider 4.5 years of faithful service for $13 a bargain. I'm ordering my second and looking forward to another 4.5 years.

Answer:	I am not sure of the exact dimension, howver it fits the Kindle like a glove it is very thin all arround, it does not use any straps etc to hold the Kindle in place it just fits snug.I had the old Kindle and the old cover where it used a couple of straps to hold it in, this is much better method and much thiner, I would say bar far the best cover out there, although a little pricy, it is worth the extra cost.

Answer:	Mine does not have any marks. Of course I've only taken it out of the case once and that was to look at it for you. It holds it in really tight.
Question:	Which case will cover a paper white that measures 7 in long x 5in wide? why don't you include the measurements of the protective cases
Answer:	I bought one of these based on the description stating which "year" paperwhite the cases fit - which is specified as 2012, 2013, 2015. My paperwhite is 2015 and the case fits perfectly. Hope this helps. (I love the case - light, slim, easy to use.)

Answer:	Yes it is, Barbara. I am very pleased with this purchase. I read many reviews and I do not think an original Kindle shell case, by the way which costs $ 40 compared to this one which cost only $ 10, is beyond this case, just to showing off you have the original one.
