Answer:	There are actually two different size tips. One is slightly smaller than an eraser and the other is smaller than that.

Answer:	These have a soft tip so I would say the they are soft. I've come to the conclusion that all rubber tips tend to break down after using them and they don't glide as easy any more so if you want one with a hard tip Amazon has one with a fine hard tip on one end and a mesh rubber tip on the other. It's a rechargeable stylus pen (digital) around 25 bucks. I'm sure there are cheaper ones there too. I purchased one and it takes a little getting used to butt it glides very easy and I don't think it'll break down any time soon. So look around I'm sure you will find a deal.
